So it has been kind of a slow morning at my house till…. I got my paper and saw a $10 Kohl’s coupon on the front of my Idaho Statesman. $10 off coupons come about once a month but NORMALLY they are for $10 off $20 purchase.  NOT THIS ONE…it is $10 off any $10 purchase…which means $10 FREE!  Plus you can use it on any sale, regular, and even clearance priced items.

Coupon is valid 9/29-10/9 and is only good in AZ, CA, ID,NM,NV,TX,and UT. (Other states got this same coupon yesterday and it was valid for CO, TN, NC, GA, and FL )

SO….what did I do? I dragged my two little ones with me to Walgreens to pick up a few more papers….pay $.71 for a paper and get a $10 coupons. That is a thrifty deal in my book. Walgreens only had two papers left and I was so excited I told the cashiers all about the good deal. They wanted in on the good deal too…so   I then went across the street to Maverick and bought  papers for my cashier.  Call me crazy but it was a fun way to start the morning!!!

Normally you can only use one coupon per person/ transaction at Kohl’s, but I have 10 days to use them so I will have to go back a few times.

I don't think there should be a limit on how many papers you buy, but on how many coupons you steal from the papers! The limit should be ZERO!! It's frustrating that the only papers you can find are ALL missing their coupons! Really is it worth it? Not only do paying customers lose out but so does the Stateman. People could have bought those but won't now because they are missing the coupon! Think before you act!

I don't live in this area but in my state Kohl's sends out this kind of coupon to customers somewhat regularly at least for the last few months. I got 3 or 4 of these in the mail as well as via email. I used them for back to school items. Also, we have a tax free weekend in August. The Kohls stores here let customers have these kind of coupons with any purchase. I went everyday to Kohls and bought small items for purchase and collected around 6-7 of them. I had a list of back to school items I wanted and spent about $15 out of pocket to get $70 worth of coupons. In the end I goton clearance undies, wallets, 4 purses, shirts, skirts, and tennis shoes for "free". I was also able to use a 15% off coupon as well. I love Kohls. I just got another $10 off $10 purchase coupon this week. I am going to use it to buy a top to go with the "free" skirt I got from JC Pennys. This is a Xmas gift. I have never seen the $10 off $10 purchase in the newspaper around here just email and postal mail.

I live in VA. The Kohl's near my house had it's grand re-opening today (they even had a marching band playing outside). They had mailed this same $10 coupon out to all the surrounding counties. I was there at 9 a.m. this morning and it was ALMOST like the day after Thanksgiving. I had a fun time though.

Use my coupon this morning for some shoes for my Grandson- Tony Hawks normally $44.99, on clearance for $13.49, paid $3.49, very thifty deal I think!!

I had an interesting lunch hour today. Wasted a lot of time and energy. I went to a number of places (stores, gas stations, news stands, etc.) that are in close proximity around my office. There was not a Statesman to be found. I peeked at enough empty news stands to know that those coupons had to have been on them. At the McDonalds at Fairview and Locust Grove in Meridian, I witnessed one lady drop a few coins into the newspaper stand and then proceed to take the entire stack of papers. Really! It makes me wonder how many copies of the Statesman were stolen out of news stands today. I went up behind her, deposited $.75 and took the last paper, which was the one in the slot there in door of the stand. I guess she didn't think to grab that one and steal yet one more. After that, I went into the Fred Meyers there at the same corner to see if they had any, which they did not. The guy there at the CS counter said they had a lady come in earlier and clean them out. I didn't think to ask how many she bought. But at least that person paid for them. At one of the news stands I stopped at, the paper displayed in the door of the stand did not have a coupon on it, but I could tell that there were more papers inside, so I got excited and deposited my $.75 only to find that the entire stack (maybe 10 or 12 in there) had no coupons. I think someone took them all because it appeared that the pile of papers had been shuffled through. They were a little askew, not in a neat pile like normal. So there went that $75 down the dump. Not a big investment, but I was bummed that I wasted the money. Toni mentioned wishing there was a limit -- I was thinking that same thing as I was driving around today, but realistically I don't know how newspapers could possibly be rationed.

I was also excited to see the coupon this morning. I just signed up for the paper at the Womens Celebration Show and the paper has already paid for itself this week! I also received a $10 coupon through the mail from Kohl's and was able to use them both today. I went to the early morning sale and bought 8 large towels for $4.16! I did see another woman that had multiple coupons from the paper and she just made several trips to her car. That was when I was clued in to go buy more papers although they are all sold out in my area. As I was driving home I had to laugh at myself for getting so excited over my savings...made my day!

Walmart on 12th in Nampa is out of the paper.

We have gone to multiple locations to buy some papers and everywhere is out. My Mother in law was able to find 6 only to discover later that someone had taken the stickers off of them! What is wrong with todays society?? Theft is Theft, even if it is just taking a sticker off of a product!

Just opened up my paper this morning and was thinking "wish I had a multiple weekday subscription!" Never would of thought to just go to the gas station and buy an extra copy. LOL Thanks for the tip.

My daughter has been to five different store in Meridian and she said that people in front of her have been buying stacks of papers. They must be on them. I am just trying to get one so we can get an item that we have been wanting. I am really bummed that they dont limit how many papers a person can purchase.
