Thanks Jen for passing this along,
I just wanted to let you know about the thrifty deal I found at Lowe’s
today. We need paint for an accent wall, but we’re not being too picky
about the color. Lowe’s has a clearance table in the paint section of
colors that people have had mixed and no longer wish to buy. I found a
one gallon can of Valspar paint in a soft pink color for $6.00, when
it’s regularly $31.98. PLUS, Valspar has a $5 mail in rebate that
printed when I bought the $6 can, making the final price $1.00 for a
gallon of very good paint! Great deal!

That was my question! I was told it will automatically print because the paint does qualify(triggering the computer print the rebate form) the price override is what causes Valspar to deny the rebate. It may work for you? Maybe a different set of eyes will bring a different outcome??!!
Well that makes me sad cause I havent tried it yet, but I wonder why they would still have it print at the register if they wont honor it!
I tried this a few months ago and my rebate was denied because I purchased the clearance paint not regular priced paint…I didn’t fight it too much as $6 was still a great deal!
leave it to you to find a thrifty deal on PAINT! And that IS thrifty, wow awesome! I love that you guys aren’t picky about color, makes a huge difference, good idea, then you can choose off the sale rack of paint, and if you’re just doing an accent wall you don’t need to worry about getting more and matching it. Thanks!
