Gas prices are KILLING me. They have gone up a dollar in a month, but once again I am always looking for a way to cut costs. Over the weekend gas was $2.63 a gallon but I was able to get it for $1.78 a gallon….How you ask? The Albertsons Gas rewards program, the best part is, it is credited before coupons. So all those things I get free with coupons still count towards my gas rewards. I tell ya, I think I need to start wearing an ” I love Alberstsons” shirt.
Here are the deatails,
Every time you accumulate $50 in qualified purchases, you’ll earn a 5 cent per gallon discount good on your first 20 gallons purchased at participating Albertsons Express locations. Gas Rewards expire 90 days from the date of award issuance. Qualified purchases exclude dairy, prescriptions, tobacco, alcohol, money orders, stamps, lottery tickets, gift cards and fuel or other products prohibited by Law. Gas Rewards have no cash value and are not valid with any other fuel discount or offer. Pump transaction will STOP at 20 gallons when using your Gas Rewards. But if you pre-pay inside you can get as many gallons as you would like. That is how I got 30 gallons. Separate transaction required if you want to purchase additional fuel after the first 20 gallons are pumped. If fuel purchase using accumulated Gas Rewards is less than 20 gallons, Gas Rewards accumulated balance will reset to zero when transaction completes.This is a limited time offer.

I just love the fact that the Reward is given on the pre-coupon amount! I felt like a thief the first time I noticed, knowing all the coupons I have used there. It’s great!
I’m paying inside for now on. Thanks for that info, I’m always fighting with my husband about who is going to score on the cheap gas his car or mine.
I shop at fred Meyers. If you spend 100 dollars you get 10 cents off per gallon. It’s great! I filled up today for 2.53
I’m confused. You said the pump will stop at 20 gallons, yet your picture says 30 gallons. How did you do that?
Sheree…good point if you pay at the pump it will stop you at 20 gallons if you pay inside you can get as much as you want

I LOVE this program, we have been spending, oh I mean SAVING so much at Albertson’s that we’ve been able to fill up on gas several times in the past couple of months. It’s the only place we fill up now. Don’t forget to check your local Albes (if you shop different stores), we’ve found them all to have different prices so we make sure to fill up at the cheapest station.
I love getting gas with my rewards! Someone does need to come up with an albertson’s tshirt!
This is such a great program! I never, ever used to go to the Albertsons gas pumps, but now that is the only place I go. I’m an Albertsons lifer!
