Albertsons paid me $30 to buy Gift Cards …. love it

I told you all about this great Gift Card Promo at Albertsons last week… but I finally made it in to do it myself today.

Albertsons Gift Card Promo! Buy $100 or more in gift cards (excluding MasterCard, American Express, and Albertsons Gift Cards) in a single transaction using your Albertons Preferred card and get a FREE $10.00 ALBERTSONS GIFT CARD!

I took the money we had sitting in savings for our house remodel project and used it to buy Lowe’s gift cards.  Which is where we will be spending the money anyway… but buying the cards I earned $30 in Albertsons Gift Cards!!!  Which I used to buy my groceries today!

Beans before sale price of coupons would have cost $20.28

I was able to get them all for $6.57, which I paid with a gift card = $.00 out of pocket cost

S&W beans $1.00 each (normally $1.69)

  • use the .50 off 2 coupon from the 9/11 Red Plum
  • use a twice the value coupon final price $.50 each
I did two transactions 6 cans each time, Subtotal was $3.00 plus .27 tax = $3.27
I paid both of these with my Gift Card for a total amount paid of $6.57 on Gift Card = $.00 out of pocket cost

I was able to get it all for $14.47 Which I paid most of with a Gift card = Final out of pocket coast $.039

Nabisco Chips Ahoy 9.5-15.25 $2.50 each

  • use the $1.00 off when you buy milk coupon (if you printed it I posted about it earlier)
  • Final price $1.50 plus cost of milk
  • With twice the value coupon $.50 plus the cost of milk
Hot Pockets, Croissant Pocket or side shots 2pk or Lean Pockets $2.00 each
  • use the $1/2 Hot Pockets Brand Sandwiches 2 Pack or larger
  • or the $0.50/3 Hot Pockets 8/21/2011 Smart source Insert (exp 11/21/2011)
  • or $0.75/3 Hot Pockets 8/21/2011 Smart source Insert (exp 11/21/2011)

I have bought 1,700 in gift cards.. so $170 of free groceries for me:) we are going to disneyland in 2 weeks so I bought disney gift cards and gas cards because we are driving!!! great added bonus for me:)

I went to albertsons today and did 3 different transactioos. I bought 30 boxes of hamburger helper, 10 boxes per transacion, used 3 of the $1 off 3 boxes of hamburger helper coupons per transaction plus I used 3 of the double manufacturer coupons per transaction and my total was only $ 0.50 per transaction! also I was able to use my $2 catalina and receive all for free!! :)

I made several double coupon purchases yesterday and today (and plan one tomorrow!) but my FAVE is this one I did today:

Bought (10) boxes of Hamburger/Tuna Helper at $1/ea (=$10)
Used (2) coupons I had for $1/5 (-$2)
Used Double coupons for both $1/5 (-$2)
General Mills has promo where you earn $5 off of (10) GM prods (-$5)
Total cost: $1 before tax. Basically, these cost me $.10/ea!

Gets better…
This triggered a Catalina coupon worth $2 off next purchase of Chicken or hamburger…so basically, I made $1 off the deal!

I got gift cards today too. I knew I would be buying cards to use as Christmas gifts so I figured I might as well get free groceries out of it! Another bonus of this promo, earning .10 off a gallon of gas for each $100 in cards.
