April Fools Dessert Burgers ~ April Fools Day Recipe #AprilFools #Prank

April Fools Dessert Burgers, Quick and easy dessert for APRIL FOOLS DAY #Recipe #AprilFools #Dessert #KidsRecipeApril Fools Dessert Burgers ~ April Fools Day Recipe

My kids think April Fools is such a fun day, Normally I dye the milk green or feed them something silly.  This year I have decided to make them BURGERS for dessert.  Perfect for their little fingers and sure to make them smile.   I thought I would share the idea with you so you can make them too.

To make your very own April Fools Burgers, You will need:

  • Jif Hazelnut Salted Caramel (or Nutella will work)
  • Nilla Wafers
  • Powdered sugar
  • Green, Red and Yellow Frosting

First off if you have not tried Jif’s Hazelnut Salted Caramel, then go buy and jar and bring along a spoon.  Why a spoon… because this stuff is AMAZING it is like eating liquid Feria Rocher chocolate. It is seriously amazing!  Put equal parts Jif and powdered sugar into a bowl and mix together, the powdered sugar will make the Jif not so sticky and you will be able to make a “dough” out of it. Use your fingers to kneed into a dough and then shape into a patty.

You will need 2 Nilla wafers for each burger. On the bottom bun put green frosting to look like lettuce.  Next put your “beef patty” and on top of that put drops of yellow and red frosting. The yellow and the red are suppose to look like mustard and ketchup.  Add your bun on top and easy as that you have a cute April Fools Treat.

Vanilla wafers, grasshopper cookies, frosting. I actually use shred coconut for the lettuce, just dye it green. Much cuter then all frosting. Also, put sesame seeds on your bun with a little sugar water as glue makes it look more realistic. 😉
