Baby Einstein refund up to $64

10/31/2009 10:00 am · 11 comments

Apparently there are some public relations issues going on with Baby Einstein. As a result, they are offering a $15.99 refund no matter the original purchase price on any Baby Einstein DVD purchased between 2004 and Sept 2009.

You can return up to 4 DVDs per household for your refund of $64.00 (OK — technically, $63.96). To get your refund, you will need to do the following:

1. Package the DVD, in its original DVD case (if available), into a suitable mailing envelope or package.

2. Include the completed (hand-printed) request form below or an 8½x11 sheet of paper with your signature, name, address, telephone number and email address.

3. Indicate the DVD title you are returning and date of purchase.

4. Check the appropriate box on the exchange/refund request form found below or write in on your sheet of paper your choice of :

(a) An exchange for one
(1) Baby Einstein Book OR one
(1) Baby Einstein music CD. Please write in the product name or title in the appropriate space
found on the refund request form below OR on your sheet of paper;

(b) A coupon for 25% off one
(1) Little Einsteins™ product purchased online at DisneyStore.com; or

(c) A refund.

5. Submissions must be postmarked by March 4, 2010.

6. Mail to:

The Baby Einstein DVD Guarantee/Upgrade Offer
P.O. Box 3200
Neenah, WI 54957-3200

Note that this offer is good until March 4, 2010, so you have plenty of time to get in on this offer. Please be honest with this submission and return only DVDs purchased during this period.

Thanks to KC Penny Pinchin Mama for this thrifty tip

I have ones that I bought that my kids were never interested in, so I’d like to send them back… but what do you do if you don’t know your exact purchase date?

My daughter absolutely loves these videos! She has learned a lot from them actually :) We would watch the sign language one while we were teaching her sign language and it really helped her. She has also started saying things that she has learned off the videos it is so cute! She learned to mooo like a cow from them! love it!

My son loved and still loves the DVDs. I didn’t expect
him to be a genius but there is no doubt he
learned from them…

I bought a couple of the DVDs and CDs for my son and he never really seemed interested in them. I will for sure be sending mine in. I bought them in 2007.

Disney did not buy the Baby Einstein franchise when they were producing VHS tapes. So I would say a big ole NO to returning VHS tapes.

It has something to do with the marketing of them: basically that they inferred that these products would make your baby smarter when there is no actual proof that they will do that. It sort of seems to me like any normal person would understand that no product is guaranteed to make your baby smart; however I guess some people were misled to believe this. (It’s marketing people!) All I know is that my oldest would be just mesmerized by the original videos for long enough for me to get a shower – that alone was worth the purchase price in my book!

I am just wondering why??? I bought quite a few during this time but nothing is wrong with them. Does anyone know?
