Thanks to Fabulessly Frugal for letting me know that the Breyers Ice Cream is part of the spend $30 get back $15 in catalinas promo going on at Albertsons.

  • They ring up  at $6.39 each but they are also buy one get one FREE so you get two for $6.39
  • SO I bought 10 cartons for $31.95
  • I then used 10 coupons for .75 cents off from the  10/18 red plum
  • I then used $15 in catalina coupons from another transaction
  • I used 3 albertsons twice the value coupons on 3 of my .75 coupns
  • My total then came to $7.20 plus tax ($1.78) =$8.98
  • That make is .90 cents each
  • After I paid then $15 in catlalinas printed
  • NOW THAT IS A THRIFTY DEAL!!!!

where are these breyers coupons you refer to in the 10/14 RedPlum. 10/14 is a Wednesday. Do you get redplums then? Thanks..

I was going to email this but I will ask here.. I went in today and had 10 icecreams.. I had 7 .75cents off coupons and then my 3 doublers.. the cashier would only take 5 of them because of the free items.. I have always used a coupon on my free items. isnt it true that alberstons is giving me the free icecream then they will take that .75 cents and get it back from the manufacter? can you please explain to me if I did some thing wrong or if the rules have changed?

Thanks so much
Jenn

Jenn I talked to the manager about this yesterday….yes you can use a coupon on free item. The store will actually make more money doing it this way but some cashiers have a hard time at the thought of you getting something free. I did this last night to make sure it would work with out a problem…..and they all scanned just fine. Hope that helps

I tried this in Idaho Falls and it did not work. Would different stores have different catalina deals?

Well, Wordless Wednesday is around the corner. It’s pretty hard to talk with a frozen mouth…

Your little girl looks pretty happy about the ice cream…do you think she might try to sneak some ice cream at naptime? LOL
