Campbells Chicken Noodle or Tomato soup ONLY .20 CENTS A CAN!!!!

soupAlbertsons has a sale on Campbells Chicken noodle ans Tomato soup right now for .50 cents a can….a rather good price.  But the deal gets even better, right now they have a catalina running for every  15 dollars of soup you buy you will get back a $5 Catalina ( a coupon good toward your next purchase, that you can use like cash)

So here is the deal scenario:

  • buy 30 can of Campbell’s chicken noodle or Tomato soup ( can  only be these 2 kinds of the Catalina will not print)
  • Your total will come to $15 plus tax
  • use 7 coupons from the 9/13 smart source for .40 cents off 4 cans ( will take off $2.80)
  • Use 3 albetsons twice the value coupons ( will take off another $1.20)
  • Your total will now be $11.00 plus Tax  for 30 cans of soup ( which make it about 36 cents a can)
  • After you pay a $5 catalina will print
  • SO after the catalina it is LIKE paying $6.00 for 30 cans of soup (  that is only .20 cents a can)

This is a VERY VERY thifty price on soup and a great price to stock up.  The catalina runs till 9/26 so if your store is out you can always get a rain check.  I just spoke with my Local Albertsons Manager and he said that yes the catalina is printing, but it only works on chicken noodle and Tomato.

At the Giant in Eastern PA they have the Campbells soups on sale for $.44/each. Using that coupon it would make them $.24 each doubled. Still a great deal I think!

Evelyn above had mentioned that you don’t have to buy that many soups. She said that the coputer prints out the cat on the shelf price and not the sale price. Do you know if that is true?

I went to 2 Albertson’s today. The first would not take my coupons for “cooking soups” after I had all 30 cans in my cart. I went to another Albertson’s later in the day and the clerk took the coupons even though the register did not want to take them. I ended up with 30 cans for $4.00 What a deal! I think it just depends on the cashier. The first one went to get a manager… the second one just said..”I don’t know why it doesn’t want to take it” and over rode them and gave me the $1.00 off and the double coupon.

Jo Ann – I used the coupon for cooking soup at my Albertsons for the chicken noodle & tomato soup combo and it worked. I bought 30 cans for $15. Used 2 $1 off coupons + 6 .40 off coupons and they doubled the $1 coupons + 1 .40 coupon. My total before factoring in the catalina was $8.20 or roughly .27 a can. Factoring in the catalina, it was $3.20 or .11 a can.

Thanks! Do you know if the “cooking soup” coupons from the Campbell’s website will work on the chicken noodle or tomato? I would think it should at least work on the tomato, but would like to find out for sure before I load it up in my cart. It would make an awesome deal if it works.

Jo Ann the cooking soup coupons are for cream soups not the noodle or tomato as far a I know

Wow…also, another thing I received on my trip today…I bought 4 swansons’ chicken broth and received a .60 / 4 coupon. Did anyone else get this? I love getting coupons on chicken broth. I’m going to try and buy 4 more cans tomorrow and see if I get the same coupon to print out.

ratha September 14, 2009 at 10:56 pm

just an FYI – my catalina took a really long time to print and I almost walked away. Also, the coupon on campbells website also will work on this deal and it’s $1/2 and it will allow you to print the coupon twice. I was able to use 6 of the .40 + 2 of the $1.

i tried this today at albertson’s in oregon. i had six IP’s. he would only take ONE IP, saying it was one per purchase. i asked for a manager and he said “that would be me”. so i spent at least a half hour in the store and walked out with nothing. any suggestions?

How do you know what the sale will be Wednesday? Does the website show it? I’d rather wait a day instead of rushing out now.

Jo Ann September 14, 2009 at 10:58 am

Will the soup be on sale Wednesday for 50 cents a can like this week? I would hate to wait til Wednesday and then have to pay more.

Thanks

Jo Ann yes…..hope that helps

asia September 14, 2009 at 9:25 am

SO what stores, so far, have been printing and what stores have not? Thanks

Heather September 14, 2009 at 9:09 am

I did the deal too at oveland/5 mile they had tons of soup up front and the catalina worked fine.
Mindy I only saw a coupon for the cooking soups did they let you use that on the tomato and chicken noodle?

Karri September 14, 2009 at 8:50 am

Hi I am new to couponing. How do you use multiple coupons for the same thing. for Example how are you able to use seven coupons from smartsource. It says only one coupon per purchase.

A Thrifty Mom September 14, 2009 at 9:55 am

Karri that means one coupon per item per purchase…..you just need to get 7 coupons and you will be able to use them all. If it says one coupon per transaction then you would be able to use only one

tammy September 14, 2009 at 6:55 am

Sandy when I tried at the ten mile albertsons I accidentally only got 2 cans, my kids were “helping” and the manager was kind enough to let me return it and ring up 30 for me so i could get my catalina.

evelyn September 14, 2009 at 2:55 am

I don’t know if you know this but when you do the cat deals the computer goes by shelf price not sale price. So you only have to buy $15 dollars at the regular price not the .50 a can sale price. It works for me at all of my stores and means less OOP.

Karri September 13, 2009 at 10:34 pm

Hi, I am new to couponing. Will Albertson’s let you use 7 smartsource coupons? It says one coupon per purchase.

mindy September 13, 2009 at 8:24 pm

I did this deal today and it worked great! There is also a coupon at the campbells website for $1 off 2. I printed 4 of those and doubled 3 and then and then used 4 coupons from todays smartsource. My total for 30 cans was $7.17 + the $5 catalina. So really paid $2.17. What a deal.

Cathy September 13, 2009 at 7:38 pm

I did it today and it worked. The Five Mile and Overland store had a ton of both kinds. The expiration dates were Aug 2011, so almost 2 years to use them!

PS – this is a good item to donate a few to your local church or community food pantry.

Linda September 13, 2009 at 6:58 pm

Hi Sarah,

I just tried the Tomato and Chicken Soup deal,I did not get a catalina (bummer!)I checked at Customer Service, they told me there is not a Catalina on the soup. Any suggestions?

Thank you for all you do!

A Thrifty Mom September 13, 2009 at 7:52 pm

Linda, If they are not willing to help you I would return the soup and buy it again on Wednesday when the catalina is printed in the ad….it prints now but being that it is not printed anywhere it makes it tricky.

Sandy September 13, 2009 at 5:22 pm

I tried this at the Meridian store today and the Catalina did not print. Is there anything I can do to get the $5?

Nancy from Montana September 13, 2009 at 4:23 pm

Sarah,
Thank you for finding out which products of Campbells will printout the catalina.
