Don’t Toss your Free 3D movie shades!

So it seems 3D movies are sticking around. They have perfected the quality with 3D and created a whole lot of fun! And with more and more movies being made into 3D, TV’s are  made with it, and even cell phones have the ability to record in 3D. It seems like it has become a part of our culture now.
When ever we go to a 3D movie they hand every one a pair of those plastic shades that make the movie fun! We sit there and eat our popcorn and duck and weave to the oncoming effects. Once the popcorn bucket is gone, and the credits start to roll we all make a dash for the car. On the way there are those “Recycle your 3D glasses” bins. We have all seen them and almost by habit we toss our free shades into the bin and walk out to the car to leave.
STOP – don’t toss your free shades!
Save them – store them away in your entertainment area of your home. WHY?
Well let me give you the back ground -
The 3D glasses they hand out have been, up till now, paid for by the movie theater and by the production company that made the movie. Each pay fifty percent of the cost of the glasses…. for now.


In May 2012 – the cost of the glasses will be not paid by them any more…
WE will! Yes that’s right!
So start now and break the habit of tossing those shades into the recycle bins. Keep them. You are not required to leave them at the theater… Save them for next year.

Its only a few months away and with so many 3D options out there now –

Keep them for your own Thrifty Movie adventure.

New Rayovac Lithium Power Pack – best ever!

There is such a need for power in today’s world. Power in large and small quantities. Rayovac’s new Platinum Lithium Power Pack PS60 meets that need head on. What I got to test was just perfect. The Rayovac PS60 has no moving parts. The competitors unit that I just got about two months ago, is large, very heavy, and bulky. There is no way you just slide it in your pocket. Also about two weeks ago I had to send it back after using it just once. The plug end of it that moves broke internally.

With the Rayovac PS60 there are no moving parts. You have the Lithium Ion Power pack, a carrying bar that hold the three adapters – micro – USB, a mini-USB, and an Apple charging plug. It also has the charging cable. You have one cable the adapts to them all. On the top side of the power pack there are two ports. One says “IN” which is to charge the actuall unit when plugged into a charging USB port like on your computer. Next there is an “OUT” which you take the power cord USB end and plug it into the PS60 and attach what ever charging plug you need for your electronic device. And your unit has some 6 hours of talk time for a phone!
