Make this years Valentines Day special without breaking the bank.

My 4 year old wanted to do a craft project with Mom so this is what we made.

 It was fun, and turned out rather cute!

You will need

• A pair or little hands
• Red paint
• Paint brush or sponge
• Card stock… I used a 12×12 sheet cut in half then folded to make a card
• Marker

On a side note you might want to make sure your little one is wearing an old shirt… cause they always seem to get paint everywhere!

Use the red paint to cover the fingers and palm of their hand.  You will need to act quick so it does not dry.  Only do one hand at a time.  We painted her hand 4 times to make 4 cards then switched to the other hand and painted it 4 times as well.

Firmly press  hand down, with the thumb pointing down to form half the heart.

 Once the paint is dry write your messages and draw a heart in the middle.

It was a fun little afternoon project!

Materials Needed to make your own square scarf:
1. Iron
2. Light Fabric of your choice but make sure it is double sided
3. Heat n’ Bond hem tape
4. Scissors
5. Pom Pom Trim
6. Fabric Glue

I am not even going to do a picture tutorial on this one because it is so easy a child can do it! First you want to take the fabric lay it on a flat surface then with a yard stick measure a square 40″x 40″. After that get your iron and hem tape and hem all four sides….YOUR ALMOST DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Take your trim and fabric glue and I used my fingers to put the glue then press the trim and YOU ARE DONE.( I put trim on only two sides)

What is happening? Well it isn’t our website or any other website. What happens is that when you are on the computer and you visit a website, your computer stores little pieces of information about that website. It stores this information to make the next time you visit that same website, it can pull up the website faster using the stored information. This is great when you casually visit a particular website. But sites like ours where deals post sometimes more then one an hour, sometimes readers visit very frequently. Sometimes multiple times a day, just to keep up with each new deal. So each time they visit your computer continues to store little bits of information. Doing this your computers storage area quickly becomes crowded and full. And just like you in a crowded room, you can become confused, agitated and start sending mixed signals just trying to keep up.

So how do you fix this? I is very easy when you follow this step by step instruction thanks to WikiHow.  Below are steps to take for each type of web browser.

Internet Explorer 9

1. 

    Open Settings > Safety

   Once your browser is open, click the gear at the top right to open the settings menu. Then, select Safety and Delete Browsing History… Or, optionally you may simply press Ctrl-Shift-Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window.

2. 

    Choose what to delete

   Select Temporary Internet Files. You will also need touncheck all the other boxes, especially Preserve Favorites website data. This option makes the window also delete objects from websites in your Favorites folder, which is necessary to completely clear your cache.

3. Click the Delete button near the bottom of the window to perform the operations (i.e. clear your cache by deleting temporary files).
4. Your computer will work for a moment, and then the process will be complete. You’ve successfully cleared Internet Explorer 9′s Cache!

Internet Explorer 8

1. 

    Click “Tools”.

   Once your browser is open, click the Tools menu. Or, optionally you may simply press Ctrl-Shift-Delete to open the Delete Browsing History window (and skip step 2)

2. 

    Delete Browsing History…

   Click on Delete Browsing History…

3. 

    ”Temporary Internet Files”.

   Select Temporary Internet Files.

4. Click the Delete button near the bottom of the window to delete your temporary files (i.e. clear your cache).
5. If you want the browser to automatically clear the cache whenever you close it, click theAdvanced tab. Click to check the box next to the Empty Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed option (in the section labeled Security). Click OK. This will delete everything except cookies.
   • Note: IE8 has a “feature” which retains some cookies even after you clear your cache if you do not UNCHECK the “Preserve Favorites Website Data.” If you truly need to clear your cache, you will want to uncheck this!

Internet Explorer 7

1. 

   

   Open IE 7 and click the Tools menu. Click the Delete Browsing History link at the top.

2. 

   

   Under the Temporary Internet Files heading, click Delete files…

3. 

   

   Click Yes when you see the prompt asking if you are sure you want to delete all temporary files.

4. Alternatively, clear your cache for just the current page you’re visiting. Press and hold [Ctrl] on your keyboard, then Press [F5] or click on the Refresh button (square button on the toolbar with opposite-facing arrows).

Firefox

Firefox 4.0 / 5.0 / 6.0 +

1. 

    Firefox Menu

   Click the Firefox menu in the top left corner. Next, select the right arrow next to History >, and click Clear Recent History (or click on Tools then Clear Recent History if you don’t have the FireFox Menu) Or, you can press Ctrl-Shift-Delete to open the recent history window.

2. 

    Select ‘Cache’

   Make sure ‘Details’ is expanded, then select Cache from the list. Uncheck everything else.

3. 

    Choose ‘Everything’

   In the Time Range to Clear: drop down, select Everything.

4. Select Clear Now.
5. Your computer will work for a moment, and the process will be complete. You’ve successfully cleared Firefox’s Cache!

Firefox 3.5 / 3.6

1. 

    Tools > Clear Recent History

   Click the Tools menu, then select Clear Recent History.

   • Note: If you don’t see the Tools menu, hold down the Alt key then press the T key to access Tools.

2. 

    Everything

   Choose the time range of cache you’d like to clear.

    Cache

   Click on Details and make sure Cache is checked.

4. Select Clear Now.

Below is the full method, although it is possible to simply go to Tools, and select Clear Private Data.

    Tools > Options

   Go to Tools and select Options… (on Linux, go to Edit thenPreferences).

    Privacy > Settings

   Go to the Privacy tab and click the Settings button.

3. 

    Clear private data

   Make sure Cache is checked on the list of options to clear.

4. Return to the Options menu and click the Clear Now button.

Firefox 1.0

1. Click the Tools menu and select Options (on Linux, go to Edit then Preferences).
2. Click the Privacy button and select the Cache tab.
3. Click the Clear Cache Now button.

Google Chrome

Chrome v10 +

1. 

    Click on the wrench

   Once your browser is open, select the Wrench icon (the settings menu, located in the upper-right corner) then,Tools, and Clear Browsing Data…. You can also access the Delete Browsing History window by pressing Ctrl-Shift-Delete, or clicking on this link: [chrome://settings/clearBrowserData].

2. 

    Check ‘Empty the Cache’

   Select the Empty the cache check-box. Uncheck everything else to avoid deleting data unintentionally.

3. In the Obliterate the following items from: dropdown menu, select the beginning of time.
4. Click the Clear Browsing Data button. Chrome will work for a moment, and then the process will be done. You’ve successfully cleared Chrome’s Cache!

Chrome v1 – v9

1. 

    Tools menu

   Once your browser is open, select the Tools menu (the wrench in the upper-right corner) and select Options (Preferences on Mac).

2. 

    Clear browsing data

   On the Under the Hood tab, click the Clear Browsing data… button.

3. 

    Clear cache

   Select the Empty the cache check-box.

4. 

    Select your time period.

   You can also choose the period of time you wish to delete cached information using the Clear data from this perioddropdown menu.

5. 

    Done!

   Click the Clear Browsing Data button.

Safari

Safari for Mac OS X

1. 

    ”Click Empty Cache”

   Once your browser is open, click the Safari menu and selectEmpty Cache….

2. Click Empty.

Safari for Windows

1. Once your browser is open, click the Edit menu and select Empty Cache….
2. Click Empty.

Opera

1. Once your browser is open, select the settings menu and click delete private data.
2. Click the details button.
3. If you do not wish to delete cookies, saved passwords, etc., remove checks from them in the list.
4. Press delete.
5. If you are using the browser, go to History (accessible from the start page (press start button) & extended toolbar) and touch Delete All.
6. Then go to the start page again and touch Settings.
7. Then scroll down until you find Delete Cookies and touch that.

Mozilla SeaMonkey

1. Once your browser is open, click the Edit menu and select Preferences.
2. In the left-side list, open the Advanced node and select Cache.
3. Click the Clear Cache button.

So guess who we called out to our home the other day? AmeriServ (ASI) Heating and Cooling! Why? Well we woke to a cold home. Early that morning the heater was on but just blowing and no flame. Now I am one to try and tinker with things, so I looked it over and read the code light that was flashing. I found the part on the diagram that said had the error, but for the life of me couldn’t figure out what to do at that point – I’m no pro! So I called the Pro’s – ASI Heating and Cooling.

They came right out, diagnosed the issue, fixed it then waited for the furnace to cycle on and then timed the unit to make sure it didn’t cycle right back off. Which on our unit we thought was normal. It never would flash any warning lights, the unit would turn on and then stay on with heat and all for about 5 to 10 mins, then cycle off, even if the temperature was not reached. Then it would be off and then cycle back on. We always thought that our old furnace was normal. It heated the house, kind of, and there were never any codes that displayed so we always assumed that it worked. And we assumed that the reason our house was always cold was that we had poor insulation and old windows that were not up to date energy efficient products. Our house was built back in 1972 with no new updates since we started to renovate.

Our ASI Heating and Cooling repair man made a few check when he saw what was going on, and replaced a part verses replacing the entire unit that a friend, who does heating and cooling, had told us was the probable issue. A simple fix and guess what – we have long lasting heat! Maybe our insulation and windows aren’t as bad as we thought. The heat stays on like a normal heater does, and reaches the room temperature settings and then turns off. And it stays off longer then I could ever imagine, probably like a normal heater!

The house is so warm now! I really thought it was just the insulation of our home. I feel like I have a new home! It’s warmer, we feel more relaxed, and much more cozy. We are just so happy and thankful that our repair man was thorough enough to see something that was wrong even if the furnace thought everything was not ok by not flashing error codes.
