I am a stay at home mom with four wonderful kids. I have been married for over 9 years to my best friend. I am head over heals in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together.
I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet.
I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy. |
In the Sunday paper you should find a single page Albertsons ad, and on the bottom of it is 3 twice the value coupons! You can use 3 twice the value (double coupons) per family per shopping trip. They will double any coupon up to the value of $1.00 making that coupon twice its value. SO if you use a .75 cent coupon it will double up to $1.50 or if you use a $1.00 coupon it will double to $2.00. They will not double a coupon for $1.01 or more. Albertsons will now allow you to use coupons that say do not double with a twice the value coupon…..Great News!!!

 I went to Albertsons for bread and was tickled pink to find a $.55 Peelie coupons on the Grandma Sycamore’s Bread $1.79, making it only $1.24. This is my favorite bread, and normally it is close to $3 a loaf so $1.24 as a VERY THRIFTY PRICE!!! Keep on eye out for these at your local store.

There is a promo on the back page spend $30.00 on select products get a Free $15.00 itunes card. If you use or would like itunes then this may be a good deal being that there are lots of P&G coupons that go great with the sale. BUT I am not that excited about this deal.
 Today and tomorrow Albertson’s is doing a promo for gas rewards, for every $50 you spend you get 10 cents in rewards PLUS if you buy gas today or tomorrow then you get an extra 3 cents off at the pump.
The store employee was fairly confident this was at all Albertson gas stations. Check you local store
 My Favorite Albertsons (stadium store in Caldwell) has a huge sign right as you walk in to let you know how to get a good deal on Smores. They have 6 huge display racks up front and 12 more in the back. (ya, they may have over ordered just a little)

I was at the 7th and 12th Avenue Albies last night, and they had Kraft Pasta Salad for $1 a box. They also had coupons at the register for $1 off 2 boxes…double that, and it makes it FREE. They only had the Ranch and Bacon flavor, but it will be great for all those summer BBQs! They were well stocked last night, but hurry before it’s all gone!
I did see this at my local Caldwell store, but the display was cleared out….any one else find this at your local store?

In todays Sunday paper you should find a single page Albertsons ad, and on the bottom of it is 3 twice the value coupons! You can use 3 twice the value (double coupons) per family per shopping trip. They will double any coupon up to the value of $1.00 making that coupon twice its value. SO if you use a .75 cent coupon it will double up to $1.50 or if you use a $1.00 coupon it will double to $2.00. They will not double a coupon for $1.01 or more. Albertsons will now allow you to use coupons that say do not double with a twice the value coupon…..Great News!!!

Be sure to check the dates on your sour cream, most the time the use by date is about 6 weeks out. My family has no trouble going through that much, but if you are a smaller family you could split this deal with a friend. Or just substitute other dairy items.
