In the clearance carts at Albertsons today, I came across these cans of Del Monte diced tomatoes, they were on clearance for .75 cents.  I had a coupon from the 2/8 Red Plum coupon insert for .40 cents off, making these .35 cents each.  Check your store to see what you can find!

Cereal .17 cents a box!!!

I love Albertsons Sales!!!

Just in case you didn’t hear Albertsons is having a sale on cereal…..A HUGE SALE!
Without coupons you can get it for .67 a box
If you are new to couponing and don’t have any coupons to use, this is a great sale to start out with!
With coupons you can get it for .17 cents a box!
My Caldwell store had a large display this morning even after a ton was sold yesterday, but they are getting a HUGE shipment in tonight.  This sale runs 10 days!

This is my 15 boxes I got this morning, at .17 cents each.  I plan to get some more later this week. 
At normal price this would have cost $73.35
But after sales price and coupons I paid 2.55 plus tax
Now that is a Thrifty Deal!!!!

My shopping trip with my Mother In Law

Before coupons for sale these would cost $99.48

she paid $39.15
Plus she got back $15 in catalinas
so it is like paying $24.15

Last week I was out of town for Spring Break. We spent 4 days with my Husbands Parents. We went out for a little coupon shopping. Thanks for putting up with me JoAnne, I love ya! I was able to help my mother in law take advantage of a great sale at Albertsons ( last day of sale is Tuesday) The only thing we bought that did not have a coupon was the strawberry’s and shells & cheese. I did not list all the details…Sorry I was on spring break.

If you are new to using Catalinas, you will want to make sure to buy your cereal in groups of 5…..if you buy more than 5 in one transaction you still still only get 1 $5 catalina. SO make sure to split you orders up.
This is a message from my store manager
There will be no limit on the amount you can buy, however I think we have just about wiped out Post. We literally have trucks coming to this valley and at both Nampa stores they each have about 50 pallets of cereal coming and I have ordered about 70 for the Caldwell store. So if you want to come see me and get your cereal feel free. This ad does start tomorrow for the great deal, but some stores won’t have very much product due to the short notice we have been given to order this. We all have 1 or 2 more loads coming to our stores to help supply us. Don’t get disappointed that you may have missed this, just come back another day. With the store in Caldwell we have about 10 pallets of product right now and I will get another 30 pallets or so Monday night and then another load later on in the week
SO, don’t go all crazy. If the store is out, they will get more in! Buy what your family can eat before it expires, but don’t go all crazy wiping out the whole store. Have fun and GOOD LUCK

buy 5 boxes of cereal $8.35
use 2/ $1off 2 coupons
Pay $6.35 cash
Then after you pay a catalina will print, for $5 off your next purchase. You can use it on more cereal or something else.

I am on the road and have not been able to print it myself, to read the detail of the coupon.  But I think this coupon should make the cereal 17 cents a box or even FREE.

8oz Kraft Cheese .50 cents each!!!!

This week at Albertsons buy $10 in Participating products and get $3 off instantly.  One of the items is Kraft 8 oz cheese / $2.50 each. 
Buy 4 at $2.50 each get $3 off instantly , making them $1.75 each
But I used a $1 off 2 coupon, making them $1.25 each
 There is also a catalina going on ( last day is Sunday)
Kraft Cheese
Buy 2 & get $1 Catalina
Buy 3 & get $2 Catalina
Buy 4 or more & get $3 Catalina
Buy Kraft 2% Natural Chunk, Shreds and Snacking Cheese 6oz or larger. Includes 2% Natural Chunk, 2% Natural Slices, 2% Cracker Cuts, 2% Cubes, Crumbles and 2% Shredded Cheese.
Ends 3/29
So I Paid $5 plus tax for the 4 bars of cheese
After I paid I got back a $3 catalina
That means I got them for .50 cents each

I got my Free Taco Shells did you?

Before sales and coupons this would have cost $26.28
I got them FREE
All I had to pay was Sales tax $1.57

Today I did not shop at my normal Albertsons, I am visiting family. I bought 6 shells for me and 6 for them. But their store had a huge display of them towards the back of the store.  I know my local store ordered a lot in, just for this sale.  But if for some reason your store is out of stock, make sure you ask for a rain check, the catalina will print up till 4-19-09.

I also had $1 off coupons for the Dinner Kits  I got these about 6 months ago.  I waited to use them….It paid off.  Using them with today’s sale and Catalina offer made them FREE.

Sunday means .59cent Salad Dressing

This week at Albertsons The Kraft Salad Dressings is part of the promo,  Buy $10 in Participating product and get $3 off instantly.
Making them $2.09 each
But in this Sundays 3/28 Smart Source coupon  insert there is a coupon for $1.50 off one Kraft 16oz salad dressing.  Use this coupon along with the sale  and it will take the cost down to 
.59 cents a bottle.
Now that is a Thrifty Deal!  I love Kraft Dressing!
Now just because it is on the Insert Preview list it does not mean all areas will get it, in their Sundays Smart Source. ( remember the post I did on it here) I am keeping my Fingers crossed that it shows up in mine!!!!!

Thrifty Reader Update for Safeway – For the Kraft salad dressing, it is still 1.50 with a purchase of 10 qualifying items at Safeway. So, after the coupon coming out this Sunday, that would make it free- the best price of all!

Albertsons Update on Coupons

In speaking to my Local Manager I have learned that Albertsons will no longer be taking competitors coupons.  It will be official on April 3rd but many stores started on March 18th.  This means they will also no longer be taking Walgreens Register Rewards.  I will be honest I was disappointed to hear this news.  But since they came out with this rule change they have had 2 weeks with double coupons, milk 3 for $5 and many other GREAT sales.  Offering great sales like these makes up for any competitors coupons I may have used. I continue to be impressed with their customer service, friendly cashiers and kindness I have been shown while shopping at their store.
