10 forgotten books to share with your kids
When I was a kid I read all the time. Really. I had a book in my hand constantly. When I was really little I took a pile of books to bed in place of stuffed animals. I read books and love that now my kids love to read too. (Most of them anyway).
But they are interested in new books. Which makes sense, but I loved books so much there are some that I wanted to share with them. These are forgotten books that really sucked me in as a kid and ones that I got lost in. Books were an escape for me. Anyway, these are some books from my childhood that I feel are worth making a come back! Take a look and see what you think. Another thing I love is that these aren’t boy or girl books, they are books for kids!
This series is so fun! Reading these made me look forward to babysitting as a kid. I loved the girls in the book and wanted to be friends with them.

What a funny silly book this is! So funny and goofy. I think this is a great book for kids that aren’t sure they like reading.
Sweet Valley High
When I was reading these books I couldn’t wait to read the next one! I wanted to live in their house, be in their family and go to their school! Definitely a great book for higher grade school kids or middle school.

This book was suspenseful and kept me on the edge of my seat as a kid! I was obsessed with it!
The Indian in the Cupboard
What a story! I loved this book. I am sure it was considered a “boy” book, but I don’t like labels. Anyone can read anything. I think this is a great story again to help a kid learn to enjoy reading.
The Chronicles of Narnia
This is a great series! I know I keep saying that, but it is so fun to read.
