Football Super Bowl Party ~ Fast, Easy, Low Cost Ways to Decorate for Game Day
Are you hosting a football party or maybe a Super Bowl Party? My son was having a Football Party, but I did not want to spend a bunch on decorations. But at the same time I wanted it to look fun and festive. I decided to make fun, low cost football serving containers for the chips out of a brown paper lunch sack. At first I just dumped the chips right in the bag… but that left grease spots all over them. I found it works best to keep the chips in their normal bag, and fold the top down or cut it off. Then use the brown paper bag as the outer shell.
A bag of chips has a LOT of air in it, so I bought medium size bag of chips and it filled up the small (standard) lunch sack just perfect. Start out by taking the flat, brown bag and drawing on the black laces of the football. I did mine with a sharpie marker. Open up your bag and then fold down the top a few times to create a “bowl” out of your bag. Put your opened bag of chips inside, cut off the top of the bag or roll it down so it will not show. You can use Football Stickers and Craft Twine to decorate the bag too. Clean up is super easy, just toss the bag in the trash and you are done 🙂
Love this Instant pot but it can be a little tricky at times. I found a great trip worth passing along. An Easy way to clean the rim of your Instant Pot electric pressure cooker!
Easy way to clean the rim of your Instant Pot electric pressure cooker
I absolutely love my Instant pot pressure cooker. It is by far my favorite kitchen appliance or gadget! I love how fast it cooks meals and that it doesn’t heat up my house. I love that the food seems to always come out perfect and that it is a lot easier to use than I thought it might be.
There is just one thing I didn’t like about it until recently. The rim around the top where the lid goes on. I could not get it clean enough. I felt like there were drips and crumbs that weren’t getting wiped off thoroughly. Until I figured this trick out!
Those little, spongy paint brushes are the perfect size and perfect for getting into that hard to reach groove. I dip the brush into my hot soapy water and go around the rim a couple of times. It is the perfect answer!

Want to do a fun Halloween trick that will make everyone cheer? We are going to teach you how to make your pumpkin glow with blue flames. It is so easy but looks amazing! Before I tell you how to make your pumpkin glow with blue flames, you need to promise me that you will follow proper safety rules. Only do this outside with proper adult supervision!
A few other things you might want to have on hand:
Running water or damp towel
As I said above this is not something for children to do alone. Adults need to be present while doing this since fire is involved. The good thing is these flames can easily be blown out, or put out with water, a damp towel or a fire extinguisher.
Start by pouring and dripping hand sanitizer all over the outside of your pumpkin or jack-o-lantern. You need to coat it generous to get a good flame. Use a lighter to start it on fire. Watch the blue flames cover your pumpkin in seconds! We did this 5 times, it did start the dry stem on fire but the rest of the pumpkin looked the same even after the fire was out.
The flames will last a few seconds up to 3-4 minutes depending on how much fuel/ hand sanitizer you put on. Please note it is VERY IMPORTANT TO NOT ADD MORE SANITIZER WHILE THE FLAMES ARE GOING. You must wait till all the flames are out to add more. If you add it while the fire is still going it can travel up and catch the whole bottle on fire.
