Lego Party Decor, Make Your Child’s Age Out Of Legos!

Recently I had a son ask for a Lego Movie party.  We are all about legos in our house!

As much as I love my kids having birthday parties and celebrating their big day with their friends, financially over the top parties are not an option.  I have to get creative and I spend very little on their parties.  For me personally, I would rather use that money on their birthday gifts rather than decorations for a party.  Anywho, I will climb off my soapbox now! ;)

When he said he wanted a Lego Movie party I was relieved!  That is pretty easy to pull off without a lot of extra money being spent.

If you have many legos, this should be simple!

You will need:

A lego baseplate (if you don’t have one already, Amazon has an awesome price here!)

legos

time to put it together

I really can’t say a whole lot about how to assemble this one.  Since my son had just turned 9, I used the legos we had to put a number 9 on our baseplate.  It wasn’t really popping though, so I added the frame around it.  So simple, yet cute and better yet, free!  Who doesn’t love free?!

Personalized Phone Charger~Silly Face

We have a few Apple products around our house.  Between the Ipods and the Iphones, sometimes we get whose is whose mixed up.  Usually it doesn’t matter, but if someone wants to take their charger with them somewhere, or needs to use it,  it can lead to an argument (and no parent wants that!)

Here is an easy way to personalize your chargers so there is no more confusion about whose is whose!

Its pretty simple here is what you need:

A charger

Some googly eyes

Glue

That is!  I found a bag of googly eyes at the dollar store and chose 2 different sizes for fun.  Make sure your charger is right side up.  The top should be wider then the bottom.  Glue your eyes on to that part of the charger.

Perfect for little kids, they won’t let them out of their sight! Think stocking stuffer. Would make a great gift for a gadget lover with a sense of humor as well.

Teacher Gift ~ Quick and Easy

It’s getting that time of year again time to think of teacher and graduation gift idea. We are here to help you with a quick, easy and inexpensive, but still adorable, gift for the teachers on your list.  They deserve a medal for putting up with that many kids.  All.  Day.  Long.  Seriously, they are saints.  So don’t forget to get them something to let them know that you are grateful for all they do for your kids.

You will need:

4×6 plastic picture frame (found mine at the Dollar Tree)

Scrapbook paper

Post it notes

A pretty ink pen

Embellishments ( on one I used a ribbon, the other a sticker)

You might remember that I showed you how to make this lovely gift for breast cancer awareness month.

The directions are the same here as they were there.

Take out the generic picture from the inside of your picture frame and use it to trace a square of your scrapbook paper.

Slide it into the frame.  Take off the back of the post it notes so the sticky part can be stuck onto the frame.  Press it on firmly.  Add your embellishments.

Throw in a pretty pen  and you are done.  Easy enough right?

These work great for male and female teachers.
