Shop Your Way ( has got my back…lol) well it is printed on my back at least
A few weeks ago I shared a post with you as to why I wanted to be your ultimate Shop Your Way Personal Shopper. I wanted to give you a little update… well I did NOT win the grand prize and get to be in a Kmart commercial and get my trip to Blogher paid for. But I did win one of the 1st place prizes and was given a $200 gift card to Kmart or Sears.
While at Blogher in NYC I was able to meet several other fantastic bloggers that are also part of the Shop Your Way rewards program it was fun to chat with them even if it was 7am (which explains the not so great photo). But I was also able to tell other bloggers about the program as well. A program that allows you to find good deals for your friends and family and then you earn money when they buy! But here is the best part, you do not have to be a blogger to get the benefits of Shop Your Way Personal Shopper. ANYONE can sign up and start sharing deals and earning! Make sure to sign up for your very own Shop Your Way Personal Shopper (<– My referral link) You can shop at Sears, Kmart, Lands End and many other stores.
I want to tell you why I, A Thrifty Mom, would be the Ultimate Personal Shopper. When I was younger I thought I did not like to shop. It seemed like I could never find things that were in my budget or fit right. Hours were wasted and I walked away empty handed. But the truth was I did like the thrill of a good deal and shopping for a deal is much more than just walking through the stores. Deal shopping is about pulling back your sleeves and getting to work. Go ahead and try clothing on, smell the perfume, walk in those crazy shoes that seem a little out there or walk the store in slippers, check that clearance rack to see what you find. You may find you like shopping after all but you may also find that shopping is not your thing. If that is the case then no worries, let me be your personal shopper. I love walking the store or searching online to find the deals to help you know what the best deals are and how to spend your hard earned money.
But if you do like to shop then I have even better news. You can sign up for your very own Personal Shopper account. When you find the good deals you can then share them with friends and family. You can shop for yourself but you can also shop for your friends, show them the best deals and when they buy, you earn commission on what they buy.
Make sure to sign up for your very own Shop Your Way Personal Shopper (<– My referral link) You can shop at Sears, Kmart, Lands End and many other stores.
With school right around the corner, you may be looking for some deals on back to school items. I know I can’t wait to go school shopping for my children. I was excited to find these deals at Sears and thought I would share a few of my favorite with you.
If you have a little girl that needs a jewelry box then you will want to check out this amazing deal at Sears! You can get these character (Disney Princess or Dora) jewelry boxes for only $6.99! You can get it shipped FREE to the store for in store pick up! Plus you can ear 9% cash back via ShopAtHome.com. Think ahead, and save these for Christmas!
A few weeks ago Sears invited me to a blogger event in Chicago. I was honored to be invited to attend and learned a lot about Sears, Kmart, Lands End, Kenmore,Craftsman and many other brands that are part of the Sears family. They really do have a little something for everyone.
Tools for the handy man or gal, lawn and garden gear to keep your yard looking top notch. Kenmore appliances that make me drool… and washers and dryers that are a show piece. I felt like one of the gals off The Price Is Right showing off your dream showcase.
One thing I love about shopping atSears online is you can pick up or order FREE at your local store. They offer some amazing sales, but they also offer a new rewards program called Shop Your Way Rewards. You will be given special offers and earn rewards. Below are a few reward offers they have listed right now… a free Tool Bag when you spend $50. Looks like a thrifty deal to me!
While in Chicago I decided to check out the “windy city” and it was really windy. I felt like a little kid playing in front of the fan (come on you all played that game when you were little right)
I took a stroll down Michigan Ave the trendy place to shop. Some of the shops I did not even want to look end the window in fear they may charge me a “looking fee”… ouch the prices were not so thrifty. I did get brave enough to walk into a few shops… but notice the Men In Back every where you look. We do not have those in my home town.
Not sure what the appeal is to buy a shirt full of holes… but they charge $20 a wack and they were kind enough to “pre hole” them for you. I can only imagine what my 89 year old Grandma would say if she saw me walk in with a shirt like that I guess we all have our own fashion… this just happens to NOT be mine. Thanks again to Sears for inviting me to this event, and teaching me more about the Shop Your Way Rewards program.
Thanks to Kristel for passing this along I hope it will be helpful to some of you!
I know alot of Thrifty Moms do what they can to save money. I found out about Kidvantage about a year ago and with the boys I am in love with it. But, yesterday I went to Sears to replace some shoes and jeans thru Sears and they no longer honor the Kidvantage anymore as of June 1. They will honor any sales of Kidvantage before June 1st ONLY IF you have your reciept. So, I don’t know if that is something you use or any of your readers but it was information I would have loved having before I drove over to Boise.
I talked with some people at Sears about this last week, and they told me they had to end the program due to people taking advantage of the program and replacing the same pair of pants or shoes OVER AND OVER family to friend. When it was only suppose to replace the product for once child use, not a whole community! They wanted to find another solution but the wide abuse of the program made it unable to work the way it was first intended.
