My Hubby is Happy!

Before Sales Discounts or coupons this would have cost $62.94

I was able to get it all for $6.79

IMG_1444So last night after my kids were in bed I ran  to Albertson to try to get a few more double deals.  Plus I noticed my $10.00 catalina coupon expired in the morning, and I needed to use it.  So off to Albertsons I ran.  I wanted to get some of their petite sirloin steak  normal price $5.99 they have on sale for $2.99.  We tried these last month, when they were on sale and loved them.  Matt has been asking me to buy more all month.  But I told him I needed to wait for them to go on sale again.  So I got 4 large steaks ( they are huge  Matt and I share one).

I do not buy soda much, but at this price I could not pass it up.  We will be well stocked for the 4th of July!

Soda $6.49 on sale for $3.25

  • all of these are $3.25 a 12 pack or you can buy 5 at a time making them only $2.60 each
  • I had  $1.00 off 1 coupons on the A&W root beer and Sunkist
  • I used 5 coupon but I doubled 3 of them
  • Final price $1.00 each

My total was $16.79 after coupons but I then paid with a $10.00 catalina, so all I had to pay was $6.79.  Matt was happy to see me come home with Soda and Beef!

IMG_1428As most of you know I TRY to never shop with my kids, it is not that I don’t love them.  They just make it VERY hard to shop.  But we had to go to get their teeth cleaned yesterday so while I was out I thought I would try to get a few deals at Albertsons.  I have to admit they did pretty well, poor little Maleeya  was not to happy in this photo, she wanted “pink milk”.  This is how I did with 3 kids along for the ride,

IMG_1420I have been telling you all week what a wonderful deal you can get at Albertsons on milk!  But my printer has been out of ink and I have not been able to print these coupons…..but Saturday night I was able to print them and run to Albertons for my milk. The great news is you can all get this deal with the new set of  ”twice the value”  coupons that came on todays Albertsons ad.

Here are the details:

Albertsons has their shopper’s value milk on sale for 3 for $5.00 (2%,1% or skim)  that makes them $1.67 a gallon. Click here for a coupon for .75 cents off ( these are only good for Utah or Idaho) ANY brand of milk.  Right now if you type in an Idaho or Utah area code , I used area code 83607.  If you use the coupon with the sale it will make it only.92 cents for a gallon of milk!  But if you use an Albertsons twice the value coupon it makes it only .17 cents a gallon. HURRY and print yours before they reach their print limit and are gone! Click here for the link.

NOW THAT IS A THRIFTY PRICE!!!!

My Thrifty Clearance deals

06/26/2009 12:42 pm · 3 comments

Before sales or coupons this would have cost $17.58

I was able to get it for .62 cents

IMG_1407When I am at any store I always check the clearance rack for item that have been marked down.  You can use a manufacturer coupon on a clearance item making it an even better deal.  These Listerine bottles regular price are $8.79 each, they were on clearance for $2.19, I had 2 coupons for $2.00 off so it made them only .19 cents each plus tax. ( these coupons were from a Listerine pamphlet I got in the mail)  This is another reason I carry my coupon binder to the store with me, because I never know what I might find, and if I have my coupons with me, then I can make it an even better deal!

I was able to find these at Albertsons, but remember clearance  items are just what that store has extra of, so they may not be in all areas.

Jane eye shadow on clearance for .87 cents, I used this as my “filler” item.  I wanted to pay with a $6.00 register reward and my coupon item ratio was 3 items 3 coupons…. if I was to pay with a  Register Reward ( which walgreens counts as a coupon) my ratio was 3 -4 so I bought the eye shadow to bring the ratio up to 4-4.  I was then able to pay with my $6.00 register reward….bringing my total down to .65 cents

Before sales or coupons this would have cost $185.60

I was able to get I all for $2.40

IMG_1367Now before you get a grumpy at me I want to make it very clear that yes I bought 80 boxes of pasta, but only 15 of them are for my family.  I picked the rest up for my Mom, sister inlaws, and neighbors.  I was just easier for me to make one trip…than for them to drive 30 mins to pick up 10 boxes.  As of yesterday evening they still had over half left, but between 4-6pm they were wiped out!  I have to admit was shocked to see over 2,500 boxes gone in 2 hours.  This sale runs all week, but my Caldwell store does not have any more shipments coming in.

At Walgreens this week they have Studio 35 styling irons on sale for $4.99 ( normal price $9.99)  In the spring Walgreens pharmacy’s had instore coupon booklets, one of the coupons is for $3.00 off studio 35 products.  So if you use the coupon they are only $1.99 each!  I was lucky that I still had the coupon book, I almost tossed mine in the trash last week being that they expire on 6-30-09.  I am not sure if any of the Pharmacy’s still have these, most my local stores ran out a few months ago.  But if you still have one, you are in for a thrifty deal!

IMG_1368

Before sales and coupon the items below would have cost $16.71

  • I used  a $3.00 coupon from pharmacy booklet
  • final price $1.99

I paid with a $3.00 Register Reward from last week, brought my total due down to $1.35!
