Wordless Wednesday

science fair projectsMy kids had their science fair at school this week. They were SO EXCITED to show off their projects.

science fair projectsIt is fun to see my kids enjoying learning so much! It was optional for them to take part, I was feeling stressed and it would have been MUCH easier to have not done a project.  But after seeing how HAPPY there were, I am sure glad I let them take part in it.

hair cut time, beforeI love my girls long hair… BUT long hair and busy girls also mean LOTS of tangles. SO brushing it out became rather dramatic each morning.  They would try to brush it themselves but just could not reach the back, so “mom” became the bad guy each morning and night as we tackled those tangles.   They both decided short hair was “cute” and would be easier to manage.

I have to admit it was hard to see it go, but they look cute as can be and it is NICE to no longer be the bad guy with a brush every morning.  Bonus they absolutely LOVE it.

maveric

Many of you long time readers remember the day this  sweet little boy was born… can you believe it has been 4 years! He had his 4th birthday his weekend I need someone to slow time down a little, not ready for my baby to be this old yet 🙂  He informed me that he is not a baby, but it is ok if MOMMY thinks he is baby cause he likes my snuggles (just no kisses on my mouth, cause that is gross…lol).

Happy Birthday Maveric, we sure do love you!

two teeth, two sisters FUN

My 9 year old and my 5 year old BOTH had a loose tooth.  It was my 5 year olds very first loose tooth, so she was very excited and has been WAITING to loose a tooth for quite some time now.  Big sister has not been able to eat very well the last 48 hours due to the pain of the tooth when she bites… so I decided to give her tooth a little yank.  She thought I was “mean” until she saw the tooth in my hand and then was all giggles and happy it was out.  That left little sister feeling like she wanted hers out too…. so another yank and little sister now has a toothless grin as well.

They could hardly wait to put their teeth under their pillow, write the tooth fair a note and dream of the tooth fairy coming to visit them as they sleep.  Oh to be a child again 🙂

Here are some fun books if your kids are starting to get loose teeth too.
