Before sales or coupons these would have cost $33.31
But I waited to match the coupons with a great sale
So I was able to get it all for $2.94
Plus I got back another $9 in register rewards

I bought 3 little puzzles that were only .39 cents each with the in-store ad coupon. I then paid with $10.50 in register rewards, which brought my total down to $1.67 plus $1.27 tax….so my total was only $2.94. After I paid I got back another $9 in register rewards.
- One thing to remember about Walgreens RR is you can not use a ”chap stick RR” to pay for another chap stick and have another RR print. BUT you can use a “toothpaste” RR to pay for chap stick and have another RR print.
- Also remember that Walgreens has a coupon item ratio rule, you can only use as many coupons as you have items. They count RR as coupons. So if I was only buying 4 items ( all of which had manufacture coupons which meant my item coupon ratio was already 4 to 4) I wanted to pay with a RR I would need to ad a filler item something cheap like a pencil. This would then make my coupon ration 5 ( 4 manufacturer coupons and 1 register reward) and my item ratio 5. I then could pay with my coupons and RR with no problem. An instore coupon does NOT count as a coupon in this ratio….just as a sale price.
- Also remember that only one RR per product will print per transaction. For example If wanted to buy 3 bottles of Aussie shampoo. In order to have 2 RR print for each one I had to buy them in 3 transactions. My store is happy to let me go thru the line more than once ……but some store will limit you.
- You can not pay for sales tax with a RR

While shopping at my local Walgreens I noticed they had many of the Revlon Implements on clearance. The easy grip nail clippers were marked down from $4.99 to only $1.59. But if you look in the December Walgreens coupon book, there is a coupon for $1 off Revlon Implements. Use this coupon and you are able to get them for only .59 cents each. These are the heavy duty, really nice clippers….growing up we called them the “toe clippers” because they were the only ones that would hack away at my brothers jumbo toe nails. Haa haa haa those were the days!
I bought two of them, used one coupon it took $1 off twice at the register my total was $1.37 with tax, I then paid with a $1 register reward that I got back from buying the Glade Candles. So I was able to get them both for only .37 cents! If I was to pay full price they would have cost me $9.98! Now that is a thrifty deal!
The December Coupon book also has a $3 off Revlon Beauty Tool. They had a lot of these items on clearance as well. SO check them out and see what thrifty deals you are able to find!

This week I was able to buy $340.93 worth of items,
but because I waited to match my coupons with a great sale
I was able to get it all for $56.28
Albertsons $35.11 for details click here

Walgreens $7.67 fro details click here

Walgreens $2.15 for details click here
Walgreens $7.56 for details click here
Walgreens .47 cents for details click here
If you are new to my site, I know you are wondering how I feed my family on the items I purchased for the week. Well I do not shop like a “Normal” person I stock up on the times that are at their lowest price point for the week. I bring them home and add them to my Pantry which is full of items that I use to make my families menu. My freezer is stocked with meat, so between the pantry and the freezer I do not really “NEED” to buy anything. Which allows me to only purchase things at a price that I am happy to pay. Of coarse I have to buy my perishable items every week, like milk eggs and veggies.
Once again it goes to show that having Multiple Sunday papers for coupon inserts and for Doubles, really pays off. This has been the secret to my saving buying multiple Sunday papers and for only $13 a month it is totally worth it! To find out how to get the Idaho Press Tribune or the Idaho Statesman A Thrifty Mom Paper deal click them.

So this is my first transaction at Walgreens!
Nivea for Men High Performance Shave gel $4.99
Adidas Moves cologne trail size $0.99
Blue Seduction for Men trial size $0.99
Advertised savings off the shave gel – Minus $1.50
Subtotal $4.47
Paid with a Catalina – Minus $4.00
Paid $0.47
Got a $2.50 Catalina back!

I really don’t wear cologne that much and when I do I get bored with the same smell over and over. I prefer trial sizes. They last for months at my rate, and on top of that I switch around and smell different when ever I wear it!
So to all those guys out there… Bring it! Let’s coupon!
Granted Sarah set it all up for me… But I picked the products and she handed me the catalinas and coupons… but I’ll go with it! lol

Before Sales or Coupons this would have cost me $65.43
I was able to get it all for $7.56
Well I am sure a few of you have noticed I have not been posting much the last few days. We have been out of town visiting family for Thanksgiving, it has been wonderful taking a short break. I have had a few of you ask me if I hit all the boor buster Black Friday deals. You may be shocked to learn that I did not. Being pregnant I felt it was more important to get my rest. Waiting in a line in the cold, just did not seem like fun this year. We did go out shopping about 8am and were able to get some thrifty deals at Walmart. Of course I did not get all the door buster deals, but I got a few that were left and that was good enough for me. I also got some new boots at Shoe Carnival, and a few deals at Macy’s as well. I was happy with the deals I found but….the best deals of the day were found at Walgreens.
I was out of town and shopping at a Walgreens I was not familiar with. But I was happy to find a friendly cashier ( at the cosmetics counter) that was more than happy to let me pay for my items one at a time. I paid for the lowest priced item first, which I paid for with a register rewards from last week. Then I used that Register Reward to pay for the next item….. At the end I bought the buy one get one free trees, and paid for them with register rewards.
I then had my Sister in law, also buy one of each of the Register Reward items which was another $25.44 in items and with coupons, and register rewards we only paid $3.32…Plus we ended up with another $6 register reward.
