Cheesy Beef and Jalapeno Sausage Dip ~ Hillshire Farms Gourmet Creations

Cheesy Beef and Jalapeno Sausage Dip

You can make this dip in the crock pot or on the stove top if you are in a hurry!

You will need

  • 1 12 oz Gourmet Creations  Beef and Jalapeno and Monterey Jack Cheese sausage (diced)
  • 1 15 oz can corn (drained)
  • 1 8oz brick cream cheese
  • 1/3 cup cilantro chopped
  • 1/2 green onions chopped
  • 1 cup roma tomatoes chopped  (take the seeds out)
  • 1/2 cup green bell peppers chopped
  • 1 cup shredded Montere jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 cups shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
Chop up sausage and place in crock pot on high heat.  Cook for 1-2 hours still meat is well browned.  Cooking time will vary on your crockpot, once the meat is done add ALL the other ingredients stir and put your lid back on.  Once melted (about 30 minuted) stir again and eat with your favorite “dip item” Chips, celery sticks, crackers.  Perfect for game night or holiday get togethers!

In August I was honored to be selected by Hillshire Farms to create a recipe using their new  Gourmet Creations sausage.  I created the 6 Thumbs Up Salad.  But while in New York City I was also able to try all the flavors in the Gourmet Creations line, and I quickly fell in love with the Beef and Jalapeno and Monterey Jack Cheese.  Now what is SO CRAZY about this is…. I do not really like sausage.    I tasted it to be “polite” and was shocked to find I was eating it by the bowl full!  Goes to show you should always be willing to try new foods cause you never know what you are missing out on!

Since I love the Gourmet Creations  Beef and Jalapeno and Monterey Jack Cheese they sent me some free product coupons so I could try out some fun new recipes!  It is precooked so really you could just heat it up and eat it with a fork and you would have a tasty meal.  But somehow I do not think Hillshire Farms would be very impressed if I just just posted a photo of myself sitting in the pantry eating a sausage on a fork… with a guilty look on my face cause I did not share with my kids LOL.

If you like this recipe do not forget to try out the recipe for Six Thumbs Up Salad, it is one of our families  favorites.
