Diaper Deal At Rite Aid

Thanks to Lynette for passing this along,

I came across a crazy, good deal on diapers that I did at Rite Aid and haven’t seen anyone say anything about it on the other blogs.  There was a flyer from Rite Aid that came on Wednesday for a sale that lasts through Saturday.  In the ad is a coupon for $2 off a big pack of Pampers or Huggies.  The big packs are on sale for $19.99.  So I bought one pack and used the $5/20 from the Rite Aid Video Values and used $1/1 on any Huggies from Video Values and $2/1 any Huggies from Parade mag and the $2/1 in store coupon.  The total before coupons was just over $20 after taxes (that’s why the cashier let me use the $5/20) and then after all coupons I paid $10.89!  The big pack I bought is like the equivalent of 3 jumbo packs.

I went into Rite Aid on Saterday night and was able to use all of the same coupons with no problms at all. And you can also get money back for their Dec. single check rebate.

I have done similar deals at Rite Aid in the past and the manager told me that they view the in ad coupon like a store sale and not actually a coupon.

Ikes! I guess I should clarify things a bit. I have a copy of the Rite Aid Coupon policy in front of me and it states: "Only one manufacturer coupon is accepted for each product, unless coupled with another manufacturer coupon found in a Rite Aid circular." I used to wonder about this as well because the in store coupon does say right on it that it is a manufacturer coupon. But from what I can tell from the policy is that it is perfectly legit to stack the in-store manufacturer coupon with a normal manufacturer coupon. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, I don't want to mislead anyone.

Looks to me like she got away with stacking one too many coupons, does it not?

There are 96 diapers in the size 3 box. How were you able to use so many coupons on one pack? The coupon in the 4 day sale ad was a manufacturers coupon, so you should only be able to use the $5/20, the manufacturers coupon and 1 in-store coupon.

I bought size 3 diapers and there were 96 diapers in a box. With size 3 diapers you would pay in this case around $0.11 per diaper. Don't forget that your purchase would qualify for the Gift of Savings Program as well.

I wonder how many diapers come in those packs.
