Easy, Quick, Father’s Day Card
Father’s day is just around the corner, and you don’t want to be caught without a card for the Dads in your life! This card is super simple so the kids can do it, and is versatile. Use white paper for a dress shirt, plaid for an ever day shirt, or maybe even a Hawaiian print for the dad who likes the islands!
You will need:
2 of the same papers of your choice (Just standard sized)
If doing a dress shirt pick a coordinating piece of paper for the tie
Scissors
Glue stick
Buttons if doing a casual shirt, your tie will cover if you are doing a dress shirt
Begin by folding one of your sheets of paper in half. Now, cut a strip off of the other paper for the collar. It doesn’t need to be super wide. If you are doing a printed paper that is not printed on both sides, you will want to cut your strip twice as wide as you want it and fold it in half, print side out. This way the inside of the collar matches the rest of the shirt. Fold it so it looks like this.
Now glue your collar on to the front of your shirt by placing the back against the top of the card, and gluing the collar pieces down to the front of the card. It should stay that way.
If you are doing a dress shirt, cut the tie out of your paper you have for that. If you are doing a casual shirt, glue your buttons to the front. Now you will want to cut a pocket out (again for the casual shirt). Make it shaped like this:
Now you are ready to add a sentiment to the inside of your card, and you are done! Now you have a cute shirt card for the Dad you love!
