Thanks to My Crowded Kitchen for passing along this recipe for Edible Finger Paint. I found this recipe rather useful since I have not been able to master the skill of teaching my kids NOT to eat paint. I will have to give it try next time my kids want to paint.

Here’s a art project that’s not only fun and messy, but edible too! I’m known for letting the kids make good messes every now and then!
Edible Finger Paint:
Ingredients
1 cup sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
6 cups water
Desired food colorings
Desired flavoringsDirections
Mix sugar and flour, whisk in water. Cook over low heat for about 20 minutes, stirring constantly, until paste is thick; Cool. Pour flour mixture into separate cups and add desired colorings and flavorings.
