I wanted to tell you about something unexpected and wonderful that happened to me at Fred Meyer yesterday.
They have a store coupon for Post cereals 2/$3 or $1.50 each in the Sunday ad. I had a manu. coupon cut from the back of a cereal box for $1 off of 2 boxes, so I decided to get a couple boxes of Shredded Wheat (even though we did get a LOT of cereal a few months ago!). When I paid, two separate $1 catalinas from Post printed out of the catalina machine…one was purple and the other blue but both from Post. It made my cereal free!
I was so excited that I went back in and got two more boxes of Shredded Wheat in different flavors and two boxes of Grape Nuts. I bought the boxes two at a time and the catalinas printed out each time. I was also able to roll them….use the catalinas from one purchase to buy the next one. This is a deal you could keep doing over and over.
Does anyone know how long this Catalina promo runs?

I received the $1 cat from Post on Friday (Dec. 4th) for buying Kellogg’s cereal. I purchased five boxes, so no idea how many it took to trigger. My boxes cost $.29 a piece.
I just went to Fred Meyers today (Tuesday)and bought 1 Honeycomb and one Golden Crisp and I got a $1 catalina.
I tried to do this today. I bought 4 boxes of post cereal and got no catalinas. It isn’t working in Idaho.
I went today and bought 2 post cereals and recieved a $1 cat. so as of today the $1 for every 2 (from the sounds of it) printed for me. But I did not recieve the other Cat.
I bought 4 boxes of Post in one transaction on Sunday at FM and got $5 in cats. One $3 cat and the two $1 cats, all from post! With coupons this is a great deal!!
According to my info (a catalina notification that printed out at Fred Meyer) the promo dates were 11/6 to 11/29.So it was supposed to end a day before you got the deal. Either they extended it, or you got blessed! (And I didn’t see anything about TWO catalinas–nice!)
