About Us
I am a stay at home mom with four wonderful kids. I have been married for over 10 years to my best friend. I am head over heels in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together.
I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet.
I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy.

Hi there. Just wanted to let you know of a great deal I just realized! Mac n cheese is part of the buy 10 get $5. Making them .50 cents each. If you buy 10 boxes and use 2 of the buy 3 get one free coupon that just came in the sunday paper it makes them $3.00 for 10 or .30 cents each! I think my math is right anyway
Hi Thrifty Mom,
I was wondering if you could take a minute and remind everyone to ‘play fair’ with coupons again. I was really excited about getting some of the free bread at Albertsons the other day but didn’t have enough double coupons so decided I would come back the next day. I checked out the bread supply and they had plenty, so didn’t think it would be a problem. The next day I went back to get 2 loaves and someone had taken all of the peelie coupons off of the bread. There was plenty of bread, just no coupons. That’s just wrong! If you’re not buying the bread, it’s not fair to take all the coupons off to hoard for later. I was hoping you might remind folks to have some common courtesy for others.
thanks,
Linda
My Albertson’s has them BOGO free, so I ‘m sure they wo’t be even close to .98cents
I went and got mine this morning
And I still have my coupon for a completely free package that I received in the mail. Good thing my family likes hot dogs because I have PLENTY!
I scored the same deal this morning too!
