I wasn’t sure about this freebie either when I saw it elsewhere so I didn’t sign up. I didn’t recognize the company and it said they weren’t affiliated with Kelloggs. It might be ok, but I didn’t want to take that chance.
At the bottom of this website it states “This promotion is not endorsed or affiliated with Kellogg.”

So do companies put you on their mailing list and send you all kinds of extra “junk” too. That you didn’t request. They come with coupons, high value? That’s great.
