summer reading program

This week I took my kids to the local library to sign them up for the Summer Reading Program from kids.  Each day they read, or are read too they get to mark a day off their chart, for every ten days they get to pick out a prize at the library.   Most areas do this so check to see what is available in your area.   It is a great way to get your kids excited about reading or being read too.  While we were there my 5 year old finally got her very own library card, she was SUPER excited.

If you have a Barns & Noble in your area, they also have a great Summer Reading program that allows your kids to ear free BOOKS.

  • Read any 8 books and record them in the Reading Journal  (PDF).
  • Bring the completed Reading Journal to your local B&N store. Find a Store.
  • Choose a FREE BOOK from our selection on the Reading Journal list at the store… Enjoy reading!
