About Us

I am a stay at home mom with four wonderful kids. I have been married for over 10 years to my best friend. I am head over heels in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together.

I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet.

I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy.

Gluten Free Foods Samples

sunI’m a Thrifty Mom follower and always looking for ways to get great tasting gluten free foods, at an affordable price, to accommodate me and my children’s diet. That is why I have developed a business that provides baking mixes that are gluten/wheat, dairy, soy, egg, and nut free that taste fabulous! This company is called Sun Flour MIlls. Mixes can be purchased online at www.sunflourmillsidaho.com for a very affordable price. There is also a list of stores on the website that carry our products. Mixes include: Whole Grain Bread, Sandwich Bread/Pillow Soft Rolls, “Award Winning” Chocolate Cake, Pumpkin Cake, Sugar or Snickerdoodle cookies, and German Pancakes. This is one more way to save on everyday necessary foods!

We would love to give out free samples.  We have a Demo scheduled in Nampa this weekend Sat 14 at Karcher Ranch Market from 11-2 pm.  They are one of four local stores that carry our products.  Next Thursday the 19th we will also be giving out free samples at Food 2 Store in Meridian from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.  We just did a demo at the Boise Co-op last weekend but will be scheduling something again in December.
