Inexpensive HAM radio – Emergency preparedness must have

One of the best low cost HAM radios on the market. It is small and easy to carry and pack away. One of the must haves for emergency preparedness if you do not want to spend that much. Having a HAM radio on hand in an emergency when all communications are lost due to hurricanes and other natural disasters, a HAM radio can still keep you in touch with others both local and far out side of the area that is affected.

We posted on this back over the holidays. Matt (a thrifty dad) actually bought this same one and he loves it!

Emergency is unpredictable, we can never really predict what will happen to our life in the next 24 hours. Luck has nothing to do with it, but accident prevention is each person’s responsibility. I am so glad I found an application SafeKidZone, it’s a safety management device. Whenever you’re in trouble, they know where you are. They also got what we call a Safety Profile wherein you can upload your recent picture and any information about you. Whenever there is a real emergency, they can route it over to the nearest 9-1-1 center based on your GPS location. So essentially, responders will take less time in getting there because they know where you are. And of course, they will know what you look like. Check this link: http://bit.ly/MteGVF
