My daughters 2nd grade class has been growing caterpillars. Each day she comes home ALL EXCITED to tell me what they did that day. Something very exciting happened over the weekend they started to attach themselves to the top of the cup. Last night 4 of the 5 made a chrysalides and have begun their transformation into butterflies. She was SO excited that she wanted me to come into her class just so she could show me. I love how excited she is about science, she can hardly wait till they transfer them into the big cage, then set them free!
Makes me laugh cause I totally did this when I was little, but growing up on a farm we just ran around looking under milkweeds for the baby caterpillars and put them in a mason jar with some sticks and leaves. I always got extra credit in science class for bringing in bugs
