About Us

I am a stay at home mom with four wonderful kids. I have been married for over 10 years to my best friend. I am head over heels in love with him. He always supports my crazy "thrifty adventures". We have a lot of fun together.

I was raised on a small dairy farm. Where I learned very young, the value of hard work and how to be thrifty in all areas of life. Growing up our meals were made from scratch. Only on special occasion would we get name brand cereal, chips, or any other fancy treats. Now that I am a Mom with my own budget, the basic foods always comes first. I too make most of our meals from scratch and take pride in feeding my family a well balanced healthy diet.

I enjoy seeing how far I can make our budget stretch, and when I take the time to match sales with coupons I am able to get all those "fun & fancy" items that would other wise be out of my budget. Being thrifty has always been a way of life for me, but it has also become a real joy.

Update: I just got home from Target trying to get one of the Lego Star Wars toys and it was a no go. My mistake and I am really sorry if I got anybody all excited about the Lego Star Wars deal.

Just looking through todays sale ad for Target and somemore Star Wars toys came jumping out at me:) Both of these toys will match-up really good with the new printable $5.00 off of $20.00 purchase on Coupon.com. CLICK HERE to print your coupons:)

  • Use: $5.00 off $20.00 purchase printable
  • Final Price: $7.50 each

Note: When I am within a few pennies of the total amount of being able to use  a coupon such as: $5.00 off of $20.00 purchase, my local Target will either accept the coupon or they will adjust the price of the item by those few pennies so I will be able to use the coupon.

OOH, I got all excited about the Star Wars Lego. Unfortunately, neither on of those coupons will work on the Lego Star Wars Tie Fighter. The $5 off of $20 is good on Hasbro Star Wars Toys, it won’t work for Star Wars Lego brand. The Lego Target coupon has specific models listed on it, and the Tie Fighter isn’t one of them.
