LETTERS TO SANTA – DAY THREE

hazel barrand letters to santa

“Dear Santa Claus, I thought I would write you a few lines to let you know that I would like to have for Christmas. I would like very much a pair of rubbers about five and a half and a sled and a pair of leggons. I need the rubbers and leggons very bad and I would like to have a sled, although I don’t need it. I wrote you last Christmas but you forgot me. I hope you don’t forget me this time. I am thirteen years old and I have a little  brother towo years old and he would like to have a story book and a little horse and wagon and a little candy. I guess that is all for him but please don’t forget the numbers of my rubbers I live on West Third St. My number is 1406. I guess I will close. Yours very Truely Cecil Barrand”

This Christmas I hope you can sit back and enjoy some old letters (around 1900)  from my (Matt)  distant relatives that came from France and settled in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
