Birthday parties stress me out… my kids think they are the most magical day. I don’t want to let them down but at the same time I am only 1 persons and I am NOT Martha Stewart. But I have found if I just do a few little things they make a BIG impression on the kids. For example I made Rainbow Ice Cream Pops for the kids. You would think I was handing them a season pass to Disney Land, their eyes lite up and their smile was from ear to ear.
Little did they know that these Rainbow Ice Cream Pops are really just an ice cream sandwich with Nerds on them, with a stick in the ends. SHHHH don’t tell the kids 🙂
Unwrap the ice cream sandwich, roll it in the Nerds stick a sucker stick in the end and your DONE. Whole thing takes about 3o seconds.
Place them on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper and put them back in the freezer. This will give them a chance to harden back up, take them out right before you serve them to your guests.
You could also do this with colored sprinkles, but some how the Nerds are just more fun (or at least that is what my kids tell me ). Simple project that will make a BIG impact at your next party. Good luck
What a great idea!! It’s an upgrade for an ice cream sandwich :). Love that!
