Confused by all the different prices. Seems like only on is authentic and possibly better made with easier instructions. Thoughts???

Lynnette, check out videos on YouTube on how to make different styles and variations.
Wayyyyy better than gifting the latest and greatest cell phone, or a new pair of fashionista boots! Kids today NEED to taken back to the basic of imagination and creativity!

Its not my daughters I am worried about with the mess….I have 3 toddlers in the house……in a blink of the eye a whirlwind of trouble happens. (I have 8 children and my husband has OCD my house is spotless, and my 5 older children are very responsible……its the 3 babies…..they are like the rugrats!)

Reply

Connie Clayton Williams November 13, 2013 at 4:41 am

THIS is a top toy?? My local Big Lots has a huge display of these things and I wondered why.

Reply

Katie Walp Romano November 13, 2013 at 4:22 am

Vicki Hibbs mind showing me? I’d like to purchase it for our toy donation

Reply

Gina Studer-Edmister November 12, 2013 at 11:39 pm

If your child is responsible, they will place them in an organizer and take care of them. They really aren’t that much of a pain in the ass, as you would think!
My two daughters LOVE these! As a matter of fact, they have NINE looms! I would allow them 30 looms, if they so chose…it’s better than having them sitting in front of a computer, or on an xbox ALL DAY!
Messes = MEMORIES!

Reply

Both my 13 year old daughter & 11 year old son make them… cool colors for him of course, lol… Glow in the dark, uv changing match his football team or fave sports team. They both keep the bands in boxes, like the kinds made for beads or embroidery thread. Very organized & no mess!!
My son wanted the loom, he can make more designs with it, so they split $$ on it & got 1. Then my daughter did the wood & nails like Jennifer said, but wrapped it in duct tape first, to make it cute, but also no splinters or rough edges. She is making Christmas ones for everyone now! She made pink ones for all her friends that did the breast cancer walk with her!!!

Reply

Kmberley Brown November 12, 2013 at 8:52 pm

My daughter hasn’t been too interested in this, either. (My vacuum cleaner– I’m sure– thanks her, lol!)

Reply

Carol Warrick Potter November 12, 2013 at 8:52 pm

Offtherack.com is a better deal. 2500 plus loom and tools for $14.00.

Reply

Jennifer Wilson Hardin November 12, 2013 at 8:51 pm

All you need is a piece of wood out of the craft section and two nails hammered into the wood enough so that they are secure and about 2 inches a part and you are ready to go.

Reply

Jennifer Wilson Hardin November 12, 2013 at 8:48 pm

The black box called loom bands is a joke. Bought and had to take it back

My daughter loves hers… and she tends to be messy but has been VERY tidy with these. But then again she only gets to play with it when she earns it… so far no spilled bands :) Just a happy creative little girl

Reply

Waynette Lamb Payne November 12, 2013 at 8:42 pm

My kids are SO into this!!! We don’t have the loom, but they can make several different types of bracelets & necklaces without it.. They have asked for looms for Christmas though..

Reply

Vicki Hibbs November 12, 2013 at 8:42 pm

I just got 600 bands and 25 hooks on Amazon for $2.49. It does not come with the little piece to make them, but there is a youtube video online that shows you how to make them with tweezers. Very easy. My kids just made about 5 bracelets in a matter of a few minutes.

Reply

Trina Phillips November 12, 2013 at 8:38 pm
