Dill Dip Recipe, Finger Food Party Ideas, Cool and Creamy Dill Dip perfect for family reunions, football parties, summer bbq's or just as a lunch snackCool and Creamy Dill Dip

I love this fast and easy recipe for dill dip. It will be the hit of your party or bbq, it is even good as a spread for sandwiches or burgers.  It is best if made the day before the event so the flavors have lots of time to blend. It can also be made last minute if needed.  Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as our family does.

You will need:

One and half cup Sour Cream
A cup mayonnaise
One tbsp Dill Weed
A single tsp Garlic powder
Single tsp Onion powder
Half tsp Granulated beef bouillon
Salt and pepper  to taste (about 1/4 teaspoon each)

In a small bowl add the dill weed, garlic powder, onion powder, beef bouillon and salt and pepper. Mix well and set aside. In a medium sized bowl (3 cup bowl) with a lid (the lid helps with easy storage) add mayonnaise and sour cream. Fold together until creamy and smooth. Add in the seasoning mix well. Chill for 1 hour minimum, best if chilled 24 hours. Serve with your favorite Rye Bread, chips, pretzels, bagel chips or veggies. Garnish with a pinch of dill weed just before serving.

Football Juice Boxes~Football Party Idea

This weekend is the big game!  Whether you are hosting a party, going to a party, or planning on just tuning in at home, this idea will have even the littlest football fans feeling the football spirit!  Or, maybe you aren’t watching the game at all, but are planning a sports themed party for a kid in your life.  These would be perfect for that!  A decoration that is useful and inexpensive!

You will need:

Brown paper (I used normal weight scrapbook paper but construction paper or card stock would also work)

White paper (Scraps work nicely)

Scissors and glue or tape

Juice boxes

football juice boxes, #football, #tailgate, #juicebox, #footballparty, #party, #brown, #thriftypartydecor, #thriftycrafts, #diy, #simplecrafts

Begin by cutting your paper into three strips.  Now fold around your juice box creasing with your fingers as you get to an edge.

Tape or glue the paper to the box.  I would recommend this, because otherwise the paper could slide off and then you will have a juice box accident on your floor.  So, unless you are going to have the child take off the football paper before drinking, do yourself a favor and attach it to the box.

Once you have covered the juice box, you can cut off the end of your strip of paper.  If you used paper with a white side like I did, you can use those scraps for the white accents.  If not, grab a piece of printer paper or some scraps.  Cut some thin strips.  You will want one longer one and a few shorter ones.  Attach them on to resemble the laces or threads.  This would work great on boxes of crackers too.  It would take more paper, but would make your party set up look great!

Stuffed Mushrooms Recipes, Finger food for Gameday or Football Party, Super Bowl party food ideasStuffed Mushrooms ~ Finger Food for GameDay

Stuffed Mushrooms are rather easy to make, but can be intimidating if you have never made them before.  But they are worth the time to learn if you enjoy them.  This is a recipe that works great as finger food for parties or social gatherings.  With the Super Bowl next weekend this is the perfect time to learn.

Prep: 20 minutes
Cook: 25 minutes
Total: 45 minutes
Servings: 2  (or 6 if this is finger food for a party)
Ingredients
• 12 organic button mushrooms
• 4 oz Philadelphia Original Cream Cheese, softened
• 3 Applegate Naturals Uncured Good Morning strips bacon, finely chopped
• 1 small shallot, peeled and finely chopped
• 2 organic garlic cloves, peeled and minced
• 2 tablespoons organic green onions, chopped
• 1 oz Frigo Crumbled Blue Cheese
• (1 tablespoon red wine – optional)
• salt and pepper
Stuffed Mushrooms Recipes, Finger food for Gameday or Football Party, Super Bowl party food ideas, party recipeInstructions
1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
2. Rinse each mushroom and dry with paper towels. Gently break off stems and
finely chop.
3. Covered with paper towel in microwave, cook 3 strips bacon (the 3rd is for you
to eat while you cook) until lightly brown and crisp. Remove from microwave
and set aside. In pan, add shallots and garlic and sauté until lightly browned.
Add chopped mushroom stems and continue to cook, stirring regularly, for
about 4 to 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Optional – add in
red wine and continue to cook, stirring regularly, until mushrooms are tender
and liquid is evaporated. Remove from pan and allow to cool.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine cream cheese and blue cheese. Fold in mushroom
blend, crisp bacon bits and green onions in pan.
5. Arrange mushroom caps gills down on a baking sheet and lightly smear with
olive oil. Bake in a 400 F oven for about 4 to 5 minutes or until mushrooms
start to leak. Turn mushroom caps to cavity side up and using a small spoon,
fill with cheese mixture. Return to oven and bake at 400 F for another 5 to 6
minutes or until stuffing is heated through and tops are golden brown.
