I have been looking for a great deal on the paper for over a year now. I have been working with the Idaho Press-Tribune and, I am thrilled to let you know about the ” A Thrifty Mom” Idaho Press-Tribune paper deal.
For only $13.20 a month (this is over half off the normal price) you will get 1 daily paper (Monday- Saturday) But on Sundays you will get 4 Sunday papers. These will be delivered to your home. The coupon inserts come in the Sunday paper, so you will get 4 coupon inserts. This is a coupon shoppers dream. If you want to upgrade to 6 Sunday papers it will be another $1.20 a week, that is only .60 cents a paper. Or if you already buy the paper you can add up to 5 Sunday papers for only .60 cents each.
So do I think it is worth the money? Yes, yes, yes…..have you read my blog? Wonder how I save so much money, It is all because of multiple coupons from the Sunday coupon inserts.

Ok I can get the Idaho Statesman or the IPT any difference in coupons?

Just a question if anyone knows the answer, please help. THe only deal available in my area is for the NY Times….does the times get Sunday coupons?
I’m excited! I am finally moving back to Boise after being in Denver for two months…I’m calling tomorrow to start getting my papers delivered on Sunday! Finally no more running to the newstand Sunday morning. Glorious I tell ya.

Was there a particular department that you contacted?
How did you go about getting this set up? I live in Dallas, TX and would love to get something like this here. Our Sunday papers are $3.00 each. They recently raised rates b/c circulation was low. What advice can you give for me to try here? Who did you contact? What did you do to convince them this was a good idea? Any help you can give is appreciated. Thanks for all you do!
Melissa, Just keep asking over and over is what I had to do. I told them there was market for and and I do not think they were ready for all the coupon ladys….Explain that it will mean more papers sold for them, and in todays economy everyone needs to sell!

Pascale, I think they have a special for $1.00 for the sunday paper…. I know they charge $2.00 if you buy it at the news stand.
I was wondering if there is a way to just order the redplum and super saver inserts. I noticed they both have websites, are the all the coupons from the inserts available on their website?
Not that I know of…you have to order the full paper

Yes the price will go up after 6 months. It will go up $4.50 a month, BUT all you have to do is cancel. By them you will know if the sunday papers are worth it to you. I still think it is the best deal in town.

They are almost the same, every couple months the Statesman will have one that is different
I have never gotten the idaho press tribune- are the coupons good? How do you compare it to the idaho statesman coupons?

The Press Tribune gets the Red Plum, and the Smart Source. Once a month they also get the P&G insert. We are so lucky that they carry all three inserts, many papers have dropped the red plum.
what coupon inserts are in the tribune?
I called Greg and he said they don’t have a motor route in Eagle but they are looking into it. He is going to talk to the Motor Route Manager and if they can get enough people they will do a route.
He’ll get back to me on Monday.
Does anyone know if they will deliver to Eagle? What a great deal I will switch from the Statesman to the Tribune if so.

Well if you are not going to use the coupons then no it is not a good deal….BUT I happy to pay that because I get all my money back normaly with one coupon….and there are hundreds of coupons so it is well worth the money in my opinion. Try it and if you don’t like it then you will know it is not for you.

After 6 mo the price increases to $10.75..is it still a good deal then?
No not to Boise, but I am trying to work out a deal with the Idaho Statesman. I’ll keep you posted

Yes the deal will still be good month from now. They get most the same inserts as the statesman….last month I only noticed 1 week they did not get the GM insert (4 page)…..but they are also lower in price….I think this is the best deal.

Awesome! I am in Meridian and just discovered your blog. I currently get the Idaho Statesman but it expires next month. Will I still be able to do this deal next month or should I call now? Also do you know if the coupons are comparable to what the Idaho Statesman has?

If you want to buy just the Sunday paper is $6 a month. So if you wanted to get 4 Sunday papers it will be $24.00 a month. ( and you won’t get the daily paper) I have to tell you the A Thrifty Mom paper deal is the best price. I am thrilled to tell you all about it!
