Valentines Ideas For Kids ~ Easy idea to make the whole month special

Make the whole month of February fun for your family by doing a “heart attack” on their bedroom door. Each day you write a little note telling them something you love about them, or why they are special.  You can write them all yourself, or make it a family event  and have everyone write a heart each day.  I thought this might me a fun idea to start at FHE (family home evening) tonight. Each Monday we try and have a few hours of family time,  I thought we could have the kids cut out hearts and decorate them… then I can write them each a special note on them each night. So simple and easy, but so important to help build their self esteem and let them know how loved they are.

You are going to have to buy a lot of hearts if you are going to put up on our door all the things you love about me!

I did this with my teenage boys one year. But I also had a riddle or secret message on some of them, and hid a surprise treat for them according to the clue. It was great! One of the boys figured it out the first time I put a clue up. The other didn’t figure it out until a couple of hearts later when he was mad he didn’t get a treat.

My daughter did this to my husband’s & my car last year! So sweet! I was shocked at all the things she thought of!

I bought card stock hearts at Michael’s for a little over $2 for this idea!!
