CHICKEN PROJECT 1236-1255 VICTIMS OF NEED SOCIAL HOME

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

The following story talks about our visitation to VICTIMS OF NEED SOCIAL HOME. chickens were donated, thanks to  an anonymous donor in honor of their Grandsons W and G.We donated Twenty (20) chickens. Thanks to generous donations.
Our recent visit to Victims of Need Social Home was truly a beautiful and emotional experience. As soon as we stepped into the room, some of the children ran towards me with open arms, excited and overjoyed to see us again. Their faces lit up with happiness the moment they noticed we brought along live chickens, something they had been eagerly anticipating for weeks. It warmed my heart deeply when the children all rushed to hug me; their excitement was genuine and contagious.
The Nursing Mothers shared with us how the children had been praying and asking when we would return, knowing how important the chickens are for improving the quality of their meals. It had been a while since they last enjoyed such a rich source of protein, and they were filled with hope and gratitude seeing that their prayers had been answered. To them, it was about being remembered, loved, and cared for.
We spent time interacting with the children, laughing, sharing words of encouragement, and reminding them that they are never forgotten. Seeing the joy and appreciation on their faces made me feel truly fulfilled. Moments like this remind us why it’s so important to give back, no matter how little. We left Victims of Need Social Home with happy hearts, knowing we made a difference in their lives, and we look forward to returning again.
