In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

Our visitation to Nwamaka’s Orphanage Home was indeed a memorable one. We went there with hearts full of joy and hands full of gifts, donating 23 live chickens and supplies to support the children’s daily meals with more quality protein. Upon our arrival, we were warmly received by the management and the children, who welcomed us with bright smiles and excitement. Their happiness was evident as they quickly gathered around us, eager to share in the moment.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and cheer as we interacted with the kids, capturing beautiful memories together. We took photos with both the children and the chickens, which made the experience even more unique and lively. It was heartwarming to see how much they appreciated the gesture, and how such a simple donation could mean so much to them.
After spending quality time with them, we eventually took our leave, though with a deep sense of fulfillment. The visit not only brought joy to the children but also reminded us of the importance of giving and showing love to those in need. It was a touching experience, and we left with smiles on our faces, knowing that our little act of kindness would go a long way in adding value to their meals and daily lives.
