Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

The following story talks about our visitation to Queen Esther’s Women Outreach Orphanage Home and this shows the front view, the two kids resting on the rail protector while the other bending was sweeping and was captured that way. Chickens was donated and thanks to Abigail Lloyd, Melissa Silver, Bernadette Darnell, Tiffany Guillory. We donated Twenty (20) Chickens to them which makes the Total of 166 chickens our project has been able to donate. Thanks to generous donation.
She is Esther by name, a new friend of mine but shy to talk, she is 10 years of age, she loves kitchen work like to cook etc. she is so quiet doesn’t talk much but a good and wonderful girl.
This was the place provided to keep the chickens, on the process of putting the chickens were was provided we found out that one of the chickens was over stressed and was press Dead by others due to the cage was small to contain all the 20 chickens so one of the kid was called to brink a kitchen knife to cut the throat of the chicken in other release blood so they could eat it, here is the photo of the kid and the chicken down.
The chicken was DEAD inside the cage so he was asked to get kitchen knife to cut the throat of the chicken.
The kids were happy to see us again bringing meat for them so I took a picture with them, we asked the mummy taking or looking after them about there needs of which she said, they need Clothes both for church, Rice, Indomie Noodles and other food items, they also need Pampas for the little babies 1-2 years of age and they are Three (3) in numbers aside the Grownup once and that is one of the baby in the picture while other babies are sleeping inside.
