CHICKEN PROJECT 290-310 QUEEN ESTHERS ORPHANAGE HOME

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

QUEEN ESTHERS ORPHANAGE HOME PLACE OF STAY

The following story talks about our visitation to QUEEN ESTHERS ORPHANAGE HOME, chickens were donated, thanks to Abigail Campbell, Caroline Fridell, Shannon Rondeau, Elicia Hammond, Renee Marliere, Kerrick Klopfenstein, Maribel Cruz, Karli Smith, Cressinda Rayes, Amy Freeman, Diana Naber, Stacie Toombs And Adriana Resende. We donated Twenty (20) chickens. Thanks to generous donations.

The photo above shows the chicken in front of there building and one of the kids, this is just a temporal place which they are making use of for the moment. I went to there formal place the were to inquire from them when the kids will be back from school a day before we go for the donation, on gotten to the place I found out that the place was been demolished so a woman directed me to this place they are using for the moment just a temporal place although it was difficult for me to find the place but later succeeded in that so the following day which is this day we make our movement towards there place to visit.

PHOTO OF THE AVAILABLE KIDS WITH CHICKENS

This shows the kids and the chickens but this are not 100% of the children, some of them which are the bigger once are having an extra lesson for there upcoming exams so they didn’t catch up with us on time before we leave, this kids more especially the one in front smiling much is my very good friend and her love playing a lot, like wise other kids, his name is Brother Phillips, he is in(JSS 1), that is junior student although he is a smart kid even though he play a lot and he said he loves reading too which doesn’t stop him from playing when he wants to.

FREE STYLE

The kids can be funny at times, this time they are free styling and very happy for the chicken in which we brought for them because by the end of the day food will be prepared for them of which Chicken meat will be included for them and they will relax well and eat and enjoy very well, the environment which the are sting is very OK for them as they are just here for the mean time.

ANOTHER FREE STYLE

Wow I almost forgot to share this, what happened as we were carrying the chicken or taking them out of the car to there building, there Neighbors was like bring the chickens here so we can use it to prepare food also to eat not only them oh, I was laughing, very funny, people around them were so lovely also, they were just making some fun in a serious manner but all went well the way it should, it makes me happy or we as we go visiting, doing good to people around around us whether we know them or we don’t them it mattes not as God himself can not come down to give us what we lack of but helps us through other people even as he said in his words that “in as much as ye has done this unto the list of your fellow human being, ye have done it unto me”, and he dot bless and prosper us the more as we continue to do good.

PLACE WERE THE CHICKENS ARE KEPT

This is a small long passage were the chickens were been kept so they can make a small place to keep them, so we make sure all is kept well before leaving and as we were they called us in other to have a prayer together before going, we did as they whish and then we leave to come back next time.
