Before sale price or coupon this would have cost $51.25

I was able to use my coupons matched with sale, and only pay $3.48

Started out with $20 in RR and a $10 jingle cash register reward from last weeks deals…I used $12.00 of that towards these deals.

Transaction #1

  • get back a $2 Register Reward after you pay

Activ-On Joint & Muscle or Arthritis pain relief $8.00

  • get back a $8.00 Register Reward after you pay
  • Final Price: FREE

My total came to $10.00 plus tax ($.60), I then paid with my $10 RR, which brought my total down to $.60

After I paid I got back a $2 and $8 RR

Transaction #2

Buy 6 Hallmark money holder cards ( I got the $.99 ones) $5.94

  • use the instore ad coupon will take $1.94 off making your total $4.00
  • Pay $4.00 out of pocket
  • after you pay get back a $5.00 RR = $1 money maker

Used the instore add coupon, that made the cards $.66 each

I paid with $5.00 RR from last weeks deals, this brought my total out of pocket cost down to $.96 plus $.36= $1.32

After I paid I got back a $5.00 and $2.00 RR

Used the instore coupon for the  Mars, and the $.50 MFR coupon for mars.  I then paid with a two $5 RR from one from last week, and one from transaction #2.  This brought my total down to $.27 plus $.65 tax = $.92

After I paid I got back a $8.00 and $2.00 RR

Tortillas  $2.49, no great sale just needed them for dinner

WALGREENS TIPS

  • I always check out at the cosmetics counter, and if anyone comes behind me I let them go first, so I do not hold up the line.
  • One thing to remember about Walgreens RR (register reward) is you can not use a “chap stick RR” to pay for another chap stick and have another RR print. BUT you can use a “toothpaste” RR to pay for chap stick and have another RR print.
  • Also remember that Walgreens has a coupon item ratio rule, you can only use as many coupons as you have items. They count RR as coupons. So if I was only buying 4 items ( all of which had manufacture coupons which meant my item coupon ratio was already 4 to 4) I wanted to pay with a RR I would need to ad a filler item something cheap like a pencil. This would then make my coupon ration 5 ( 4 manufacturer coupons and 1 register reward) and my item ratio 5. I then could pay with my coupons and RR with no problem. An instore coupon does NOT count as a coupon in this ratio….just as a sale price.
  • Also remember that only one RR per product will print per transaction. For example If wanted to buy 3 bottles of Aussie shampoo. In order to have 2 RR print for each one I had to buy them in 3 transactions. My store is happy to let me go thru the line more than once ……but some store will limit you.
  • You can not pay for sales tax with a RR
