Batman Super Hero Paint Night

Thanks for everyone who has been joining us for our Mommy and Me Paint Nights, Live on Facebook!  We have really enjoyed teaching you and your kids how to paint and helping you learn as we go.  We hope you will grab your friends, grab your kids and plan to join us again next Friday for another live Paint Night!  Next class will be 4/22 live on our facebook page.

What you will need for this weeks painting 4/22 :

Paint Brushes  this week you will only need three brushes for this project, a  large wide flat brush to do your background and a stipple brush which is a round brush at set like these Paint Brushes will work just fine.  You will also need a nicer brush to do the fine lines on the bat, so a a  small/ medium flat brush  will work great  like in this  nicer brush set .

BATMAN pattern for this project we use an image as a stencil, you can get the Batman image here. Right click the image, then save it to your computer then print it.

Acrylic Paint   For this weeks class you will need WHITE, GREY, BLACK and YELLOW.

Canvas  a 8X10 canvas is the the best and easiest surface to paint on.  You can buy a 12 pack  and get them for about a dollar each, super cheap and fun project for your kids. BUT if you do not have money for a canvas no worries we show you how to paint on the back of a cereal box too.  Yes we just cut up a cardboard cereal box and used that as our canvas.  This is a great option if you are doing a youth group, girls scout troop or school project and do not have funds to buy a canvas for everyone.

Apron or large shirt, is a good idea to keep your kids clean. Acrylic paint is hard to get out of clothing once it drys.  So have your kids put on an apron to help keep their clothes protected.

Paint Palette is also a nice option, but if you don’t have one you can just use a styrofoam  plate.

Artist Brush Tub ~ or something to hold your water and to clean your brushes that will not tip over easy.

  5. Faith Mendez

Omg! That is so weird because my friend is short and slender too, and I’m tall also! Haha that’s so weird!

  6. Faith Mendez

Omg I was the same way with my friend! We have been in the exact same classes since first grade and we still are in all the same classes together In highschool. We were also in band together too! The teachers always get us mixed up even though we don’t look alike haha. Do people mix the girls up too?

  7. Leah Dawn Majestic-Gaines

Your daughter is super talented to free hand a bat symbol. Looks great!

  8. Faith Mendez

If I had a little brother I would paint this with him but I don’t, I have a bigger brother but he might not like it lol

  9. Faith Mendez

Hahaha! My mom was putting on her glasses to see what you guys were painting and her glasses broke!

  10. Leah Dawn Majestic-Gaines

Do you think a round foam brush would work for the pouncing?

  11. Faith Mendez

If you don’t have a stipple brush would you be able to use a flat brush with the bristles all spread out, if that makes sense? Because I don’t have a stipple brush.
