  1. Got a set plus refills for our two granddaughters for Christmas. They were soooo happy!

  2. my 12 yr old daughter is obsessed with these! She has over 3000 rubber bands now LOL

  3. You can get this at Craft Warehouse for $10. I am pretty sure it’s the same brand. Then you don’t have to worry about it shipping out on time.

  4. Remember other off brands are not the same quality… You get what you pay for. Rainbow loom does not disintegrate like other brands

  5. Well…atleast if you step on them, it wouldn’t hurt like a lego does. lol

  6. I have 8 year old twins and I’ve never had a problem with them being all over the house. I bought them a storage box (one of those bead boxes) for the bands and they’re very careful.

  7. The product pictured in the black box has lots of bad reviews. Saying it broke very easily. :/

  8. YES! I actually MAKE jewelry for a living and don’t even let my kids have beads or jewelry making stuff. Sad but true.

  9. I see this and cringe at the though of finding them EVERYWHERE in my home…on the floor, in the cushions, in my shoes, surgically removed from my dogs. Curse anyone who gifts these to my children.

  10. What is the difference between the Rainbow loom and the DIY rainbow bracelet kit? Is it different brands? Is one better than the other?

  11. My nine-year old daughter loves this… she has been making bracelets for about six months now… she even made over one hundred pink and white bracelets, which she sold to raise money for breast cancer survivors… she has raised nearly $100. so far!! She also makes our favorite sports teams colors and her school colors… however the looms have been banned at our school as well… simply because not all of the kids had one… they are allowed to wear the bracelets though. Also, for those just learning to use the loom, there are LOTS of YouTube instructional videos to check out!! I was able to find rubber bands at Walgreens in the hair accessory section for alot cheaper than the ones they sell with the kit… however my daughter still prefers to buy the rubber bands sold in addition to the kit, simply because of more color selection…. hope this info helps!!! Happy looming!!! 🙂

  12. Yes Renee Norris on my way now! I already got some rubber band organizer boxes too!

  13. Yep my granddaughter wants one fir Xmas so that’s part of her gift plus a couple thousand rubber bands. Should keep her busy for awhile. Lol

  14. It is very easy and great for children with certain neurological and behavioral issues. Keeps their attention and helps them want to do whatever it takes to keep it. Great if a student has anxiety issues as they can roll it on their wrist.

  15. Great to know Sisha . I have a 10 & 5 yr old and was wondering how hard it was to learn.

  16. My daughter just turned 5 and loves this she has been looming since she was 4 1/2 yrs old so it’s even great hobby for little ones this age

  17. our school just banned them, too many kids taking them apart and snapping other kids

  18. Okay, I work at Amazon and I see these things like crazy…..been wondering what all the hype was over them! I can see now why they arso popular.

  19. Wish they would make a kit with darker
Colors. The boys at my grandson middle school are into making them in dark.colors

  20. Confused by all the different prices. Seems like only on is authentic and possibly better made with easier instructions. Thoughts???

  21. My 11 yr old daughter has this and LOVES it & had all the girls in the neighborhood using it too , great gift – highly recommended !

  22. Thank you so much for this head’s up! I just placed my order. My girls will be thrilled!

  23. I ordered these and the delivery date is December 9-26th. Free shipping is great but you may end up “paying” for it.

  24. I just ordered some of these!! Don’t know who will play with it more-my daughter or me?!

  25. Lynnette, check out videos on YouTube on how to make different styles and variations.
Wayyyyy better than gifting the latest and greatest cell phone, or a new pair of fashionista boots! Kids today NEED to taken back to the basic of imagination and creativity!

  26. I just picked up mine for my 8 year old for Christmas when the price dropped. I hope she’s as excited as I am about it! 🙂

  27. Creativity and fun times for kids. They get to clean up behind themselves. Several lessons learned.

  28. Its not my daughters I am worried about with the mess….I have 3 toddlers in the house……in a blink of the eye a whirlwind of trouble happens. (I have 8 children and my husband has OCD my house is spotless, and my 5 older children are very responsible……its the 3 babies…..they are like the rugrats!)

  29. THIS is a top toy?? My local Big Lots has a huge display of these things and I wondered why.

  30. Vicki Hibbs mind showing me? I’d like to purchase it for our toy donation

  31. If your child is responsible, they will place them in an organizer and take care of them. They really aren’t that much of a pain in the ass, as you would think!
My two daughters LOVE these! As a matter of fact, they have NINE looms! I would allow them 30 looms, if they so chose…it’s better than having them sitting in front of a computer, or on an xbox ALL DAY!
    Messes = MEMORIES!

  32. Both my 13 year old daughter & 11 year old son make them… cool colors for him of course, lol… Glow in the dark, uv changing match his football team or fave sports team. They both keep the bands in boxes, like the kinds made for beads or embroidery thread. Very organized & no mess!!
My son wanted the loom, he can make more designs with it, so they split $$ on it & got 1. Then my daughter did the wood & nails like Jennifer said, but wrapped it in duct tape first, to make it cute, but also no splinters or rough edges. She is making Christmas ones for everyone now! She made pink ones for all her friends that did the breast cancer walk with her!!!

  33. My daughter hasn’t been too interested in this, either. (My vacuum cleaner– I’m sure– thanks her, lol!)

  34. All you need is a piece of wood out of the craft section and two nails hammered into the wood enough so that they are secure and about 2 inches a part and you are ready to go.

  35. The black box called loom bands is a joke. Bought and had to take it back

  36. My daughter loves hers… and she tends to be messy but has been VERY tidy with these. But then again she only gets to play with it when she earns it… so far no spilled bands 🙂 Just a happy creative little girl

  37. My kids are SO into this!!! We don’t have the loom, but they can make several different types of bracelets & necklaces without it.. They have asked for looms for Christmas though..

  38. I just got 600 bands and 25 hooks on Amazon for $2.49. It does not come with the little piece to make them, but there is a youtube video online that shows you how to make them with tweezers. Very easy. My kids just made about 5 bracelets in a matter of a few minutes.

  39. I just see mess….bands everywhere. Im glad my kids havent asked for this…….yet. let me knock on wood.

  40. I just went thru and updated the prices the loom combo kit dropped $10 in price Was over $30 just a few days ago. Many other prices came down as well… check them out

  41. why am I unable to share this?! keep receiving error message – unable to load, etc!

  42. Michael’s has the Loom’s for $14.99. I did order several refill packs yesterday. Groupon had a couple loom and/or band offers yesterday but I think It was an off brand and the reviews looked like they didn’t work as well.

  43. Michael’s has them for $16.99, for the loom and $3.99 per color pack of rubber bands, in case you don’t want to wait.

  44. Go directly through the company at their website it’s cheaper through them. I think Rainbow Loom is better than the others on the market. The others didn’t work as well for us.

  45. I just recently purchased an off brand of the Original ‘Rainbow Loom’, and it is definitely cheaply made. I personally would spend the extra few dollars and go with the Original ‘Rainbow Loom’.

  46. My girls use a cribbage board and we found the rubber bands at family dollar with the clips for $1 a bag.

  47. There is 3 different brands of looms listed here. IDK the difference in the brands. We have Rainbow Loom.

  48. yes they are VERY Hard to find in stock at stores. $4.88 is a steel of a deal. Lowest price we have listed is $10 for the loom

  49. I followed the link but didn’t find any great prices on RAINBOW loom?? I only saw 1 for $26.00, and free shipping if you spend $35.00+.
