How to make a Frozen Elsa Dress, NO SEWING required and made for less than $10.00.  Perfect for Halloween, dress up or a Frozen Party.  My cute little niece wants to be Elsa for Halloween. So I decided to see if I could make her a Frozen Elsa Dress, using the same concept that I used to make a Tutu a few years ago. It turned out adorable, so I thought I would show you how to make one too.

Refer to the video  How to make a Frozen Elsa Dress, if you have any trouble. Frozen Elsa Dress, How to make a Disney Frozen Elsa Dress with NO SEWING and made for UNDER $10, #Frozen, #ElsaDress, #ElsaCostume  To make this dress all you need is:

I purchased these supplies at my local craft store (Michael’s to be exact).  I was able to purchase all the supplies for under $10 ( I did use a 50% off coupon on the large spool of white tulle).  BUT if your local store is out, or you don’t have time to shop you can order it online. Most of it ships for FREE too, just make sure to check shipping times.

Frozen Elsa Dress, How to make a Disney Frozen Elsa Dress with NO SEWING and made for UNDER $10, #Frozen, #ElsaDress, #ElsaCostumeStart by cutting TWO pieces of  white tulle that will be the main base of the dress.   Measure around the child to see how big around (wide) the dress will be.  Make a small knot to mark the measurement of the child on the strip.  You then need to add at least 2-3 feet on each side of that to allow space for the ties (when you tie the dress on the child). Now you need to tie these two pieces of tulle to a chair, bar stool or something solid so you can start to tie your other tulle strips on to make your dress. Tie them in a bow at the bottom so they are easy to release from the chair.

Their arm width is the same as their height.  If you have a small child this task becomes hard so you can use a piece of cardboard or an adult holding their hands the width of what the child would be.

How many dress strips do you need?  Each dress will vary depends on how big around your child is.  But on average you need two strips per inch around the child.  So if you measured 20 inches around the rib cage, then you are going to need around 40-50 dress strips.

Start in the middle of the white tulle that you tied to the chairs.  You want to start your first knot on the TOP row.  Fold the tulle in half, create a loop on the top half, put it UNDER the white tulle and then bring the bottom thru the hole to create a knot.  The glitter tulle is stiff and hard to work with, so don’t give up. The other strips will be much easier.

Once you are done tie a blue strip right in the middle to use as a neck tie or halter tie. Double check to make sure you have enough white strips to go around to cover the child’s back.
