Valentine Day Dessert- Ice Cream Cake…Super Easy!

1st photoThis is such an easy and delicious dessert.
Ingredients:
16 Oreos
16 ounce container of Cool Whip
1 cup of chocolate fudge
1 package of chocolate instant pudding (smaller box)
12 ice cream sandwiches
8-10 Strawberries

Supplies:
8×8 pan
tin foil

Instructions:
Line the 8 x 8 pan with tin foil.
Unwrap all 12 ice cream sandwiches, and put them back in the freezer to be used later.
Crush up 16 oreos in a bag.
Slice strawberries
Warm up the 1 cup of chocolate fudge, and let cool a bit.
Put ½ of the cool whip in a bowl and mix in cooled fudge.  Stir in the chocolate pudding.  Add the oreos, yet leave out a little bit to sprinkle on the top of the cake.
Line the bottom of the 8 x 8 pan with 4 ice cream sandwiches side by side.
Put ½ the oreo-pudding mixture on top of the ice cream sandwiches.  Place sliced strawberries on top.
Repeat ice cream sandwiches, oreo-pudding mixture, and strawberries.
Next add last 4 ice cream sandwiches.
Cover with tin foil and place in Freezer for 4 hours.
After 4 hours-take the cake out of the freezer and put on a decorative platter-apply the remaining cool-whip on top and sides of ice cream sandwiches.  Sprinkle with remaining oreos and garnish with strawberries.

Hints:  Unwrap ice cream sandwiches prior to assembly, because they melt quickly.
Cut when completely done with a seratide knife.
I put the foil in the pan and made it large enough to bring around to the top of the
ice cream sandwiches while freezing for the 4 hours.

Whip-cream and fudge.  If the fudge is too warm, the cream will melt.  Not a good thing.
Adding pudding and oreos
Making the layers on the ice cream sandwiches.
Super yummy and simple to make.
