You can just use a knife to cut a slit in the bottom of the cupcake or muffin liner or you can use a hole punch and punch a hole in the middle. Place the liner on top of the glass, wrap your hands around it on all edges and press down, this will make the liner form to the shape of you glass and keep it in place.
This is also a fun thing to do if you are having THEME party, buy cupcake liners in that theme and your drinks instantly look more festive.
