Pumpkins seem to be the symbol of fall, you can make a quick and easy meat and pumpkin shaped cheese tray for your next get together. Perfect for a picnic, party or family gathering. It is both festive looking and a healthy way to celebrate the season.
All you need to make you own cheese pumpkins is Babybel Cheddar and fresh parsley. I found these Babybel Cheddar at my local Albertsons in their specialty cheese section. To make your own “cheese pumpkins” open the mini Babybel, it will have a plastic wrapper on the outside but it will also have a wax coating around the cheese. That is easily taken off by pulling the tabs found on the red wax shell. Push the parsley stem into the top to make it look like a pumpkin stem. If you want them to stand up cut a small slice off the bottom.
Serve alone or with meat and crackers. These would be fun to send in a school lunch, kind of like a Lunchable but a lot more fun!
