Apricots are ready

Our new house has a huge old Apricot tree in the back yard.  They are now ripe and rather delicious (much better than anything you can buy in the store)  The only problem is the tree is huge and most the fruit is  30 feet in the air.  So every day this week the kids run out and and see what has fallen, and try to get it before the squirrels, or birds.

It is rather fun to have free fruit falling in the back yard…. now if I could just teach those darn squirrels to leave them alone.
