CHICKEN PROJECT 1256-1275 DAUGHTERS OF ZION MOTHERLESS BABIES HOME AND DAY CARE CENTER.

Learn how you can be apart of helping people who are in need with our Chicken Orphanage Project or our A Thrifty Mom Bag of Rice Project . In 2016 we started helping a young man named Ikechukwu from Nigeria. Summer of 2019 we were able to visit his family in Aba, Nigeria. While there we saw widespread poverty and lack of basic needs. We also met a young man named Isaac, smart and hard working but could not find employment. After talking a bit we found he had built a chicken coop and wanted to farm chickens. We asked him if he would raise chickens for us that would then be donated to feed children in local orphanages. The only food or supplies they get are what are donated, so they often go without any source of protein. We would like to invite you to help meet one of those basic needs, by providing Nigerian families with rice or chickens. This gift will feed a large family for a few months, or a single person a year. It also reminds them they are loved, and brings most of them to tears… as a full bag of rice is one of the most generous gifts they will ever receive. You can also read about other families we have been able to bless here. Chickens are only available to purchase as once they are big enough to butcher, so if you see they are out of stock he is in the process or growing another flock.

The following story talks about our visitation to DAUGHTERS OF ZION MOTHERLESS BABIES HOME AND DAY CARE CENTER. chickens were donated, thanks to an anonymous donor in honor of their grandchildren.  We donated Twenty (20) chickens. Thanks to generous donations.
Our recent visit to the Daughters of Zion Motherless Babies Home and Day Care Center was truly heartwarming and memorable, especially as it marked our very first time connecting with them. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was filled with excitement and curiosity. The children and their Nursing Mother’s welcomed us warmly, though it was clear they were pleasantly surprised to see us arriving with live chickens—a gesture they had not experienced from other visitors before.

The joy on their faces was priceless as they gathered around to see the chickens, their expressions filled with excitement and wonder. Though they are just four grown up once here of which one of the kids went for a private lesson so we couldn’t met with her, the ORPHANAGE have other two branches outside here which they said what ever the gets here it will be shared among the other two left. They could hardly believe it, as such a unique and thoughtful contribution was new to them. We spent quality time with the children, taking photos and videos to capture those beautiful moments. Their happiness reminded us of how small acts of kindness can bring lasting joy.

Before leaving, we all came together in prayers, asking for God’s blessings over the children, the home, and everyone supporting their care. It was truly fulfilling to see the joy we brought, and we left the center with grateful hearts, knowing that our first visit had made a meaningful impact. We look forward to visiting them again and continuing to show love and support in any way we can.
